Please cleary no more katoa keep Kenny at hooker i thought luai was great in defence he didnt rush up out of the line like maloney our defence looked a lot better with luai.

You called it on Kenny Panfa he’s my new favourite player, a hooker with a name like that is destined to be great.

Luai might get a grade 1 for his coathanger, hope he hasn't got any priors, we might need him next week.

Should give him an award for that one.

Well they need to get him in there pronto, is he in the development squad? How many games between now and June 30?

Kenny did enough to get the start for mine. He has the most effective tackle rate in nsw cup they said so he can tackle, service looked sharp and he brings a bit of energy in defence and will dart from dummy half. That’s better than what either our hookers has been offering.

Edit: we probably can’t start him because he’s not a fg player. Damn.

If DWZ goes that opens up a spot in the top 30

cant doubt dylan edwards’ effort at all. after a horror season and all the errors he never shies away or backs down. i just don’t know if he has what it takes to go to the next level and become the elite ball playing fullback we need for a premiership run

Our defence was consistently aggressive for the first time this season, and we showed effort and energy for 80 mins. And it wasn’t limited to one or two players but was evident across the team.

We still dropped way too much ball and were lucky Parra played so badly. Parra made so many errors that they never put us under pressure for a sustained period, except in the last 10 minutes when Luai came up with a miracle try saver.

Our attack was still woeful in the 20m, but I thought Luai looked good. With the ball we had in Parra’s end we should have scored way more points.

Whare also saved our arses many many times down his side with his exceptional defensive decision making and not missing the first tackle. We are lucky Moses didn’t direct traffic in Fui’s direction once we lost Blake.

I am not going to get carried away. A win almost always feels better than a loss, but it will be a much bigger test our next two games.

No Maloney really does improve Nathan’s game.

Wouldn’t it improve Nathan’s attacking game if anything?

I give him huge wraps tonight for his effort in defence & following through on Luai’s kick, but I didn’t see any improvement in his ability to test the defence with passes or kicks. It was the same old stuff.

The one time Luai tried a kick into the ingoal we scored. There has to be more of this.

I’m ready to get hammered, but Katoa made 2 poor errors, just dumb stuff, other then that he was solid - try assist, ran the ball, kicked well, tackled well, distributed well & was key to most of our line speed & energy. Our attack looked as fluent as it has all year.

Kenny played about 3 mins of dUmmy half, played the other 20 as lock & ripped in.

I Think you still gotta go with Katoa 9, Kenny 14. Long term Kenny might be the answer who knows.

Waiting 15 minutes for a hospital pass from Katoa sure doesnt help.

Don’t know whether anyone has mentioned it but Josh Mansour’s tackle at the end on Blake Ferguson was a massive moment. He doesn’t make that tackle and the Eels were in to tie things up.
It was abig tackle.

Fergo had an absolute shocker. Some terrible drops. But when he got that ball I would've bet the house on him scoring. Josh just hung on and somehow did the job.

You won’t get hammered from me. One of his errors a knock on went four metres backwards. I thought he was very solid.

Someone mentioned his exemption was for May. If so then surely he's eligible until May returns.

That was me. A mate from oztag is a family friend of him. Said on Monday he was playing with May's exemption. The only question is it the same guy or you apply for someone as you need it
