I'm not suggesting I'm alone in feeling like shit but me personally I am getting fed up with the club in general.

We are a rabble! I'm not blaming anyone specifically because it is every f**king piece of shit since 2006 who hired shit coaches and made poor reactive decisions.

From overlooking JT in favour of Hagan. Ousting DA because you didn't hire him. Getting rid of Kearney only to sign Stuart and then hiring a rookie coach (for the second time in 3 years) to fix the massive mess we're in.

I don't want BA gone, I'm not sure he's up to it but we need a coach to see out his f**king contract for once!

We lost 2 weeks in a row with the same play. We are soft and it's getting worse. The coach, Watmough, they are supposedly here cause they will fix our weak as piss mentality, I'm sorry but we are just as bad if not worse than we have been in the last 5 years.

Souths hadn't won a game without Reynolds until they come up against us, they were also missing Inglis, not surprising at all.

I'm glad you have accepted our fate and although I know it, doesn't mean I can't be over it does it?

Maybe calling to be kicked out is drastic but it would certainly put me out of my misery!

I cometely agree with most of what you say. Couldn't stand them bringing in Hagan, thought it was stupid they got rid of DA and has no idea why they rated Kearney or Stuart. I was in favour of JT over BA however i think much like the early 90's we are going to have to be happy with a poor team playing as good as they can and getting the occasional win
I have to say that since my son has started playing and i have had the pleasure of watching him playing the game, the losses have started to hurt less. Maybe its that, i'm geting used to it or i'm just getting to old to care, who knows. Maybe thats why i'm not blowing up like many other

As a fan of another team, I've found a lot of Brad Arthur's decisions a bit bizarre this season. I'm starting to feel that he is a bit out of his depth as a first grade coach. Here are some of the thing that I have a big question mark over regarding Brad Arthur:
- Tim Mannah's lack of minutes/use of front rowers: I don't know what it is about him but I feel that he simply doesn't use Tim Mannah enough; how long is he out there for? From the games I've seen, he barely plays 40 minutes! Also, Arthur seems to have too many of his big men off the field at the same time for too long in too many games. The game that stands out the most in that regard was vs Brisbane at Suncorp when the game was in the balance; you had too many ball playing forwards out there and not enough big men who make the metres up the middle.

Mannah (as someone pointed out to my surprise earlier in the season) has only ever played around 40 mins for his entire career. ot sure why BA is to blame for this?

- Danny Wicks not starting: For me he is your best forward and arguably your most inspirational player; he never stops trying. However, it has only been in the last few rounds that Brad Arthur has started him. Why? I've heard people say that its due to his lack of 'match fitness'. I don't believe that, given his performances. If he can play the way he does coming off the bench then why can't he do it starting the game? Brad Arthur seems quite willing to start Junior Paulo who has been out for the last 6 weeks or so due to suspension from the start, so there goes that logic.

Paulo is bigger, more aggressive, and better than Wicks. Also, with Pauli on the bench, starting Junior allowed us to always have a big body on against a very good pack.

- Tepai Moeroa: Another one of your better forwards, particularly in the opening games, gets dropped to reserve grade why? I've heard its because he was nursing a shoulder injury? If that is the case then why play him at all? Why not rest him? Your either injured or your not.

Tepai has been very poor in defence at times, given away ridiculous penalties and made lazy errors. He has a lot to learn and has never really had an extended step between NYC and First Grade.

-Lack of tactical awareness: I just find that Brad Arthur isn't on the ball at times when it comes to tactics and that he doesn't have much of game plan in place. I won't go on about this too much because it could be another topic in itself, but the game vs the titans as Parra stadium sticks out. I thought he got shown up badly when James Roberts continually dusted John Folau and Brad Arthur did nothing. Even Ricky Stuart would have had the common sense to move Will Hopoate into the centres, move Reece Robinson to fullback and move Folau to the wing.

Fair observation re Folau, but the problem wouldn't have gone away just because he was on the wing either. He is a poor defender.

- Joseph Paulo continually being selected: Arguably the worst player in the NRL (with Joel Reddy not far behind) was continually selected when it was clear to 99.999% of observers that he was a liability.

I do agree with this. That said, he has dropped him at last. Also, given it seems we knew we had cap issues to deal with, I am willing to put this partly down to wanting to use more top 25 players. Shouldn't have been re-signed, however

- Anthony Watmough's role in the team: He just seems to be anonymous to me. I always thought he was bought as a back rower to give you a heap of metres up the middle, but he doesn't seem to be doing that.

See Watmough thread for my thoughts

- The signings he had made: I thought the signing of Anthony Watmough was bit dodgy but signing Beau Scott simply didn't make sense to me. A lot of people will disagree with me but the guy is overrated, injury prone and over the hill. I keep hearing that these old heads are being bought to bring leadership but that is nonsense. Leadership come from being at the club for a number of years and providing inspiration through performances. Beau Scott only has a couple of years left at the top max and will be lucky to see out those years without getting injured. I just don't see how a 31 year old who will be onto his fourth NRL club will provide leadership and inspiration; veterans who play at multiple clubs view their roles as being black and white - they are basically like tradesman who do a job with minimum fuss but no emotion or passion. What I also found bizarre is that you guys didn't make a play for someone like Grevsmuhl, who is off contract at the end of the season. From what I've seen, he is arguably one of the most talented young back rowers in the competition and will probably go on to be twice the player Beau Scott is. More importantly, he is off contract at the end of the season and would surely have joined you guys if he was offered the money that you offered Beau Scott.

Grevsmuhl isn't worth even close to the same money as Beau Scott.

I couldn't give a toss if the game is boring. If we played every game each week like Souths played tonight I couldn't give a toss as long as we won.

Some of you blokes need a fair dinkum reality check on what makes a team successful in the sport of rugby league.

Hey, if we were to play like that and win every week I'd be as happy as f**k.
But this game is about entertainment. We need as many people watching as we can get. The more exciting the game is, the more people will watch. I rarely watch more than 2-3 games a week these days. If it was a bit more exciting (and the Eels were winning) I would be watching more.

You make alot of good points. On a couple of your points.

I think we've picked up Beau Scott on a bit of the cheap given he has some different circumstances surrounding why he wanted to come to Parra

Can Paulo really be the worse player in the NRL if he can make the City team? Like he made the city team ahead of plenty of Souths premiership winning players...

That is true. But they only had 6 sets more than us. And we both completed at 82%. That doesn't account for the missed tackle differential between the 2 sides.

The differential has nothing to do with our defence. That Souths only missed four tackles is phenomenal but it doesn't make our 25 any worse. Souths are the defending premiers for a reason - they win the ruck and have great defenders from sideline to sideline. They are the perfect team to defend well against a team like us that spreads the ball. Especially in the wet.

Anyone got a link to BA's press conference? I'm very interested to hear what he has to say.

I reckon we should be stripped of all our points and future points this year ala Melbourne and then we'll start winning as we would have no pressure

Why? Because the rules don't suit one team? Perhaps we should consider identifying, developing, retaining and recruiting players that suit the rules rather than sitting on our hands waiting for someone to change the rules to suit the players who dominant our club.

No, because they reward boring rugby league.

Don't get me started on City vs Country! lol! Sure Paulo made made the side..but so did Jason Clark...and he found himself in reserve grade the following week! As for Beau Scott, I'm not disputing the money that your paying him, its his longevity that I have problems with. What happens when he retires? Your back to square one. Your much better off doing what Craig Bellamy did at the Storm, Des Hasler did at Manly, Jason Taylor is doing at the Tigers and recruiting a host of talented young players and persevering with them until they blossom; recruiting players like Beau Scott is only a short-term fix.

:? Then we stop paying him (or not ) and replace him in the lineup with the young back rowers he has been mentoring while he was here).

And you know he's been picked in Origin again, right?

The short term is exactly what we're trying to fix.

Probably all right.

Parra has plenty of issues and problems, most of which are not easily fixable.
