Oh my hat, the sooking over Burton is real..

Burton will get his chance and be with us for a long time. If he decides to leave because of his limited game time, at this stage of his career, he’s a poorly managed idiot. Thankfully, he’s a smart kid and won’t.

I thought Mitch Kenny was really good today, 80mins and played strong. Good Kid.

MWZ deserves a wrap as well. Solid effort.

Agreed.

Aekins was solid in the wet. Didn't score five tries, set up three and run for 200m like some expect a fullback should but he did his part.

It's the serious lack of imagination from Ivan when we were desperate for something in attack during the second half that only didn't cost us because it was the Titans.

So many options. Put him at fullback like Crichton earlier in the year. Luai has successfully played tests at 9 giving us some spark there so Kenny can get a rest.

Giving Kenny 80 minutes may have been a decision for the long term. Especially if Api is out for any extended period.

If Kenny gets good game time, adds his value and we keep winning, we dont need to rush Api back.

8 guys out and still couldn't get a run even when in our top 17. He would be starting at Multiple clubs.

He has no career path here. Where exactly would he be staying to play? We wont give him a run anywhere and he's clearly no chance at replacing Luai or Cleary.

He would have to be an idiot to stay. Luai and Cleary have a decade or more ahead of them barring a horrific injury and all these injuries have shown he isn't getting a run anywhere else anytime soon. His best career move is the one that let's him become an NRL half. Our only chance at keeping him is if we can make him an NRL centre. Which we arent interested in doing and there's no other position he can crack with us.

I know, let’s put Burton on for 10 minutes in the wet with nothing to gain, let him cop an injury and there goes our back up half!
Besides, does anybody here know what discussions goes on between the coach and players? Does anybody know what has been said to Burton? I would say not, yet so many claim he will leave because he doesn’t get game time, that he should be put in other positions just to give him game time. Perhaps he doesn’t want to play out of position yet, and is happy to bide his time.

Ivan would have been thinking how to stop the Titans scoring points in the second half, more than how we could score points. They never looked like scoring in the half even though they were quite competitive.

It wasn’t a very beautiful performance but I am very glad to get the win.
The Titans really pushed us for a while in the middle of the park, especially while JFH was off.
Some costly mistakes and weird reffing kept the Gold Coast in it but apart from the obvious lapses we defended pretty well.

I expect that's the case. With our starters it'd make more sense to me but with the injuries we were never going to be as good on either side of the ball. It's just my personality to prefer the risk/reward approach. We've seen too many coaches fail being conservative over the years.

Anyone would think we lost.

Penrith won by doing as much as they needed too. If it ain't broken, don't pull it apart.

Me too I am VERY over it.

I totally agree with what you're saying.

By the carry on by some here, anyone would think we were sitting in 15th place.

Not number 1.

Best start to a season EVER by Penrith.
