We must win if we are serious contender.

Panthers beat Raiders
Sharks beat Tigers
Storm beat Broncos
Warriors beat Manly
Roosters beat Knights
Souths beat Titans

The top teams find a way to win without several of their players.

Every top team beat those underneath them.

We need to do the same.

If we do not get the win today, the slide will begin.

Tip. Saints by 14.
Thinking the same really need to win this , or as you say 2017 all over again ....

Game day!
Finally.
Let's do this Dragons. Time for the next chapter. The origin phase.
Pre origin we get a massive tick. Lets now aim for 4 wins from 6 games through this period I say then deal with the post origin run to the finals after that.
Screw those dogs! Victory or walk home boys!
Crush I hope we smash them and we should , we have a lot to play for . If we lose this hold on tight for the roller coaster ride .....

I’ve got the same feeling today as I do every time we are playing the dogs - and it’s never a good feeling.

Hopefully the boys prove me wrong, it’s essential we win today.

I don’t mind Mcgregors idea of playing the origin players he indicated they would get a rest later when we don’t have as long a turnaround.. which is also easier to do when you’ve got wins behind you.

Absolutely. Top 4 teams looking to make a statement don’t lose to bottom 4 teams. Simple.

We have the easiest run home of all the teams imo. In reality we should not drop another hand all year. Roosters later in the year is only tough game. Origin guys will get a rest once origin is completed. Until then I believe we can get 2 - 4 points clear at the top.

For some reason I’m feeling confident about this game. Normally the dogs worry me & history shows they have the wood on us. Last year when they got us Lichaa? played out of his skin, J Morris was great, Hoppa had his best game all year, Reynolds off the bench changed the game & Graham of course kept their minds on the job. Today no Morris, Reynolds & of course Graham. Their halves really shouldn’t worry our defence. We win the forward battle we win the game, simple. We lose I’ll be in the foetal position for days lol.

I know that I have been critical of Mary of late for not resting a couple of the SOO players , however he believes that they are up to the task and I am sure that they shall respond in kind . With all the big guns on the field ( and I am only repeating what every other Tom , Dick and Harry have already said ) the Dragons should be far too strong .

It shall be interesting to see how Woods responds to all the recent criticism of late and also the ' bulldogging ' that our red cattle dog James Graham will direct his way . Would like to see Mr. Simms take out Klemmer with a ball and all tackle , that would really shake the doggies confidence . Dragons by 12 :innocent:

Yep, all that makes sense.

Then why do i get a feeling this grub of a team could field their reserve grade squad and give us a run?

Hope we put the sword to them, but I will take a close win as history has taught me never to underestimate this mob when they are down.

A loss would be simply unacceptable. And a real dent to any hope of making an impact going forward IMHO.

Well, I just put some money on JG to score his maiden Dragons try @$7. He’ll be carried off in the first 10mins.

This is a big tick for Millward in my opinion. He’s done a fantastic job with the roster and set us up for long term success in the future with all our key players locked up and a number of youngsters still coming through. We are equal first and we still have cap space and a spot to fill in the roster!

In a time where teams like Manly, the Dogs and Parra have completely screwed their cap and left them in a hole for years to come, we’ve shown how you can correctly manage a cap. Given most on here think our management is a basket case and a mess, I think we’ve proven its not too hard.

Success is now completely reliant on the coaching staff. Mary needs to take advantage of this opportunity Millward has given him.
Host in for Lawrie
Mann to start on the wing with Nighty on the bench
Mary MUST be reading this forum.
