Souths set to unleash latest rookie sensation as cover for Latrell: https://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nr...5/news-story/c466d6d43927648562d712799c04bc2c

Debut confirmed for Blake Taaffe tomorrow night!! Really awesome and exciting stuff! Love the plan from the club too because it'll not only ease latrell's workload over the Origin period, but it'll give us a good look at Blake and give him some experience too. Pumped for this debut!!

Well here we are, here we go!! It's game day once again!!! Such an important game for us tonight, as is every match throughout the Origin period. We simply must win tonight. Going up against a big rival in the Broncos, there's bound to be some fireworks. Since Wayne has been with us and Seibold has been at the Broncos, I've developed a genuine hate for the Broncos and I'm sure a lot of us feel that. Their fans probably do too. Therefore, there's no excuse not to get ourselves up for this one.

Beware of the wounded Bronco I say however. Brisbane are really struggling, there's no doubt about that and on paper, this looks like an easy win for us. But the Broncos have shown in a couple of games this year, they are capable of flicking a switch and turning it on. Look at how they played against Penrith and the Roosters, two top sides, they even bet the Roosters!! That could be the case tonight which would make this a tough game, it depends which Broncos side turns up. Their backline is a little weak but they still have a pretty strong forward pack. Any pack containing Lodge, Haas, Flegler and Glenn in it is going to be strong. So I believe that's the key battle tonight, our forwards must stand up and get over top of them. That'll go a long way to getting the win.

I know I said on paper this looks like and easy win but for us, the players simply can't afford to have that attitude. I don't want to see and underestimation of our opposition or any complacency at all tonight. We have to go into this game with the right attitude, expecting a tough game and come out ready to fire and give it everything we have. I'd really like to see us put in a big performance tonight but as I said, we must turn up in the right frame of mind to do so. That is going to be made more achievable with all the classy players we have returning. Cookie, Cam, Gags and Jai are massive ins! It see's us at basically full strength for this one. Blake Taaffe is making his debut and I want this to be a happy night for him so let's clean up that error rate from last week, bring the intensity and continue to improve that defence!

It's also Beanie's for Brain Cancer Round which is a really significant, special Round. If you haven't got a Beanie yet, please do so.

Going to be a very important night! I'm keen!!!

Well it’s that time of week again Game Day. I know many think it’ll be easy and we will flog them but it’s not necessarily as easy as that. If we turn up thinking it’ll just happen they could jump us at the start. Some weeks ago Brisbane took it right up to Penrith up there any only lost by 8 points and they took it up to the Storm for periods of the game up there and they beat the Roosters a few weeks ago down here. On their day Brisbane can turn it on and they’ll be desperate after the Dogs won last week. As we all know we lost up there last year as well. For me it starts in the forwards we need to really match them there to then let our backs do our thing. For us our focus needs to be on our defence as we all know that’s been an issue for us and it must keep tightening up. I’m not worried about our attack as we all know it’s there. Getting those 2 points tonight is vital to consolidate our spot in the top 4 this is simply a game we can not lose. I’m excited to see how Ta’affe will go tonight I hope he kills it.

Hopefully We can get a good turn out from those who’ve made the trip up and from our QLD members and fans as we have a good following up there.

WHEREVER YOU MAY BE RABBITOHS MEMBERS AND SUPPORTERS EVERYONE ON YOUR FEET AT 7:53PM TONIGHT GLORY GLORY, AND FOR THOSE AT THE GAME MAKE SURE TO GET THAT SOUTH SYDNEY CHANT UP AND GOING AND COME HOME WITH NO VOICE. LETS GO AND GET THESE BRONCOS!!!

If this squad is honest with itself, they won't be going up to Brisbane to go through the motions. This shouldn't be the banana skin game that some a fearing.

There are several big returns, and the team copped 50 less than a month ago.

Turn up defensively and Brisbane will wilt under the pressure not long after.

Exactly. Plus add the fact that Wayne will be keen to get the win over his old club and we should be totally switched on.

Wow, I didn't actually realise how poor our recored was at Suncorp! heading into this week I was thinking "we always seem to do okay at Suncorp," But then I heard the stats and they suggest otherwise. I guess that feeling that we go okay at Suncorp has been inflated by our run there between 2012-2015 where we never lost a game there. Before that it was slim pickings and since that, we've had mixed results there. Interesting...

Back in the 90s a trip to Brisbane was a guaranteed loss. Luckily we've turned that around, now we just need to do the same with our trips to Melbourne.

2012 ushered in a new era, don't even think about what happened before that as it's totally irrelevant. ;)

I like Stadium Australia and am used to it but I see why a move back to SFS is best to our heartland. Harder for me to get there and home than Homebush but oh well.

Easts will be shitting themselves mate when we take over the joint lol!
I'm the same. Homebush is much closer for me but I used to make the trip into the SFS back in the day and I'm totally happy to start doing it again. You're right about Easts, we should put their crowd numbers to shame. I can't wait to hear what excuses they come up with when our crowd averages exceed theirs.
