I reckon a four point lead (or ten) is better than a two (or eight) point lead becsuse it lets you be grubby and hold down in the tackle.

I agree but I have a fear of the eels not completing the set after taking the penalty and my fears were well justified twice lol

He's worth as much as any centre and more than many fullbacks. But he's not a fullback. It's an important decision making position, and no premiership contender would play Radradra at fullback.

You may well be right but until it's attempted you can't know for sure that he couldn't do it. And by you I actually mean you I would assume the coaching staff would have a fair idea if he could do the job without having to play him there

I thought Tepai had one of his better games. Give him time he is still very young. Shame about Pritchard. It's not his body that is letting him down it is his technique. Norman demonstrated once again that he is our best player. If he gets injured we are f**ked. Kenny Edwards is officially having his breakout year. Gutherson is improving every week and Bevan French is pure class. Also a big thumbs up to Michael Gordon. Made plenty of metres and perfect with the boot. No chance I would let him go until seasons end.

And no premiership contender willing to stick to the cap would pay Semi what he's worth on the wing, Jennings what he's worth in the centres, AND Hayne what he's worth at fullback (including reduction for two years away).

Signing Hayne in wouldn't make for a well balanced squad... we've got what we need without him now - just a shame Foran hasn't been available, and that we had to lose Peats thanks to front office bullshit.

Lol how the f*ck did you bring Hayne into that conversation.

Pretty sure we had to lose Peats becsuse our illegally assembled squad was too good. If it wasn't too good we wouldn't have paid them so much and needed to pay them so much outside the cap.

Would have to agree with that. Tepai had a good game I reckon they've been using him wrong. Needs to run on the edge he's no battering ram.

Nothing wrong with the variation of central forwards running a bit wider imo, keep 'em guessing. It's much better than the formulaic stand hit ups up the middle in the first three tackles of every set anyway.

He can swap possies during a game... doesn't matter what number is on his back.

If they can practice that at training in combination with Jennings (or even on the other side as a fall back/experiment) it might help lessen the predictability of our attack as future rounds progress.

Leave him where he is in defence (wing), and let him rove a bit or swap in attack.

Same principle as for Tepai hitting it up out wide, but keeping Scott/Ma'u out wide in defence.

I think the days of a strict parallel zone structure in attack and defence are numbered... too predictable and with the exception of a talented playmaker exponent too easy to shut down with a matching defensive structure.

Moeroa defended on the right as well tonight.
But letting him soak up some central defence while taking wide hit-ups, was the point I was making. Play with confidence and have the opposition video work/structures in two minds... but you probably need a quality dummy half/organiser to pull that off?
