Round 15 Vs The Warriors

Blake’s not coming back, but it would’ve been nice to have both him & Naden in the centres.

That’s why I kinda hope Peachey comes back to add some strike on our right hand side. Not sure we’d start with one of the younger centres anytime soon, unless there’s some injuries.

What an immense effort.

Tamou & Kikau were enormous the first 30mins. JFH his usual self.

Then I thought are outside backs were terrific. Everyone of them brought something to the 2nd half, Mansour getting back to 2+ years ago with his carries.

I don’t get the criticism of Luai, I thought he was good. Got the ball to Naden early when required. His second phase play & defence were good.

Luai will probably get a solid year to cement his position at 5/8, we’ll know more when he’s able to string games together.

Yeah it's hard to judge until he gets some game time. He is just bench warming for now and not even playing halves in reserve grade.

Notice the tries he scored running off the shoulder of Kikau, we need others to learn to do that with our forwards that are capable of offloads. Not enough support play.

Worth at least one try a game.

Mmm, you'd really think I'd be able to remember him.

But in answer to the original question, based on those highlights no, I don't think Waqa could have done what Naden did today.

One is an athlete and one is a footballer. Would be an interesting centre pair.

Can't believe I'm saying this, but I agree.

I was at work and kept getting interrupted by customers. But has anyone asked what the ref was on? Those decisions in the first half and start of the second were disgusting

Yeah, my post started as a piss-take but once I thought about it I realised I just couldn't see Waqa taking the ball of RTS or standing RTS up as well as Naden did today.

Now 4 tries in 4 games? Good strike rate.

or taping the ball down onto his foot and punting it again to score

Waqa was a club favourite. Typical Panthers hating on a player because he leaves.
I still love him. And would have loved for him and nads to be on the field. But I think he needed to go.
He was stalling a bit so hopefully a new club will kick him into another gear. Just wish it wasn't parra.

I don’t see anyone hating. I agree with what your saying, Waqa is a great athlete, but he doesn’t have a footy brain.

Naden is a competitor and has a great footy brain.

I will miss Waqa, but I believe Naden is more important for our team. He makes the lose of Waqa a lot easier to take.
