More importantly than going top, a win puts us two wins clear of 5th. We are playing lesser teams, but we are beating them and that's more thaneveryone but Manly can say.
I wouldn't sub Bryce for Plum. Our props are cats, Plum is one of the only ones who has a dig. Put Grant in or even BMM a shot at his old club. Bryce should be in for Docker.

Meanwhile NSW Cup is f*cking steamrolling the Tigpies. Ten in a row. We should get 2 teams in the NRL. But surely none of these blokes are up to it...

Yeah I am at the game. We have no ball in their 20. Great defence has kept them out despite getting our line peppered

Cartright in is good, but our front row rotation has just taken a pretty big hit. Latimore, Kite and McKendry. Manu probably slots in for a bit... leaving us with a pretty light backrow.

Hopefully we try playing a more up tempo game and take advantage of having a faster more attacking oriented backrow in Cartright, Peachey and to a lesser extent Brown. Docker wouldn't fit into that style of play very well, but if we limit his minutes we can hopefully get a big enough lead that when he's on we can just defend our lead.

Barrett is a poor coach, but the roster is pretty weak compared to last year aswell.

Panthers Grand Final Squad 2013:
1. Kieran Moss
2. Dallin Watene Zelezniak
3. Waqa Blake
4. James Roberts
5. George Jennings
6. Doug Hewitt
7. Daniel Foster (C)
8. Andy Saunders
9. Kieran Moseley
10. Reagan Campbell-Gillard
11. Bryce Cartwright
12. James Dunley
13. Brendan Attwood

Interchange:
14. Mitch Clark
15. Tekina Vailea
16. Iain Riccardi
17. Isaah Yeo
18. Geordie Connelly

Panthers Round 17 side:
1.Corey HARAWIRA-NAERA
2.Joshua JAY
3.Brent NADEN
4.Peter TIA TIA
5.Eddie AIONO
6.Jarrod BRACKENHOFER
7.Sam SCARLETT
8.Jordan HALL
14.Josh TANGITAU
10.Atonio PELESASA
11.Chris SMITH
12.Brendan ATTWOOD
13.Sione KATOA

INTERCHANGE:

16. Moses LEOTA,

17. Dave COWHAN,
19. Paea PUA
22. James FISHER-HARRIS

Pretty much an entirely new team, with just about every player from last years squad playing up a level or two either with us or another club, injured or both.

I think we should expect more from them. But basically our best players have rightfully been promoted to play against better opposition, and as a result our NSW Cup and First Grade sides are much stronger.

Plum out-Cartwright on the bench.
Ivan Cleary has decided to move Lewis Brown into the starting front row for today's match against Wests Tigers, which means Sika Manu will drop to the bench.

Nigel Plum is being rested, so Bryce Cartwright will round out the bench.

So the front row rotation is Kite, McKendry, Latimore and Manu. Might be able to cope with that against a depleted Tigers side.

Second row still looks too light to me though. Brown and Docker rotating with Cartright and Peachey... they're all tough for their size, but I still think guys with actual size and weight to throw around is more effective for tiring a team out. But it's still nowhere near as bad as some of the second rows we have fielded in recent years. I'd take Docker and Brown over Ciraldo and Newton any day of the week.
