if I had to vote i'd say it counts, as antonius said - it was posted at 9:00 not 9:01.

But crap, El Poglasio, you left it right to the death! I hope the scoring is as nail biting as the posting.;-)

Pirates scores
*Note I assume El Polglaiseo might be named in the pirates team as Todd carneys #1 fan, however the poster has not named the team he plays for and he isn’t named in any team list, therefore I haven’t scored his post. Also the post in the thread by weasle isn’t counted at all, at seasons end the number of posters in each game counts on the for and against in case of a tie, his doesn’t warrant that inclusion. Therefore the Pirates have two posters.

Nibbs.
I just don’t get it Everyone has said our articles were better I just don’t get it.

Just to clarify re: El Polglaiseo, has his post been omitted purely because he didn't state what team he was playing for? Because in the management forum I announced that he joined the team and also that he had changed his name from what I originally thought it was going to be. So afaik he is a legitimate team member, if that was the problem.

Thierry, I didn't see the post in the mngmt forum, and he should be named in the team line up with the name he is using when he posts, it's not up to the ref to go searching around to find out who he is, the onus is on the him and the team captain. His post didn't even state the team he was playing for. His post was ommited because I didn't know who he was, I looked for his name in the line ups and it wasn't there.

Antonius. I am new to these forums. Todd Carneys #1 fan? Pay attention he declared me as ToddPolglases#1 fan... he told me to register, didnt tell me to use that name. I wrote the post, he didnt tell me the rules... I feel you need to have some leniancy for "forum 7s virgins" such as myself.

Now I find myself, as a qualified and employed sports journalist, going "why bloody well bother writing of the clock for my love of the game?"

Take it with a grain of salt.

I apprciate your situation, However that doesn't change the fact that you posted with a different name to the one posted in the team sheet (yes my error writing "Todd Carney" I was hurrying to get the match result up, and when checking the team list for some reason had Carney on my mind). I don't know who you are and I don't have the time or inclination to go searching around to find out. Your captain should have pointed you in the direction of the rules. They can be found here.

These sections are applicable in this case.
Teams
Ideally, a Forum Sevens team shall consist of five (5) participating players plus two (2) reserve players.

The team captain (or stand-in captain) must announce the team in the appropriate thread when the match kicks off.

The decision to change players during the match is at the discretion of the captain (or stand-in captain), but they must be selected from the team of seven players as announced in the match thread after kick off.

Declaring your team
Forummers please note: It is essential that you declare your team at the beginning of each essay.
If the player fails to declare who he/she is playing for, the referee's job is made more difficult. The captains may intervene or ask for Administrator intervention.
Forummers may also include their player number if they wish.
These details will not be included in any word count.

Being a "Forum 7's virgin" is all the more reason for your captain to guide you through initially. I hope it doesn't turn you off the game because your post was a good read. Can I suggest if you want to discuss this further we do it via PM rather than on the forums.
