Really? When did he say this? Link please.
http://forums.leagueunlimited.com/threads/former-panthers-in-the-nrl.468812/page-3

The bombed try was worse. Down by 4 line wide open and tries to catch it one handed..

Undid all the good work in the 1st half with that

Either way. Cost his side a try that puts them infront. He always goes for the big play it looks great when it comes off. Not so when it doesn't

Maybe so but how often do you see JT or the top tier halves make such basic errors?

Mx if you weren't captain of the Moylan fan club you would see it as a wasted chance as it was

Just hilarious how the same round Maloney does the exact same thing. Without being as good as Moylan earlier in the game. Apparently a couple of drop outs, a try assist and setting Dugan up for a try (that he butchered) were all undone because of it.

That's the only reason anyone is making a deal about Maloney making this error.

Foran>Maloney. I've actually been pleasantly surprised with the new Dogs spine.

Moylan>Maloney. Tight call, Moylan has had the same shocking mistakes but he is still pulling out big plays. Thursto same situation but he is head and shoulders above Maloney/Moylan and I feel embarrassed to make a real comparison.

Raiders bad yes. Reynolds I say so, injured now.

Not saying halves don't make errors. They make alot. The passing errors from Maloney concern me the most.

It's all rocks and no diamonds from Maloney atm.
Agreed. Although lets see if todays games change that.

I'd say DCE would be one of the form halves with Johnson. Looking forward to Norman/Moses v DCE. As well as Walker v Hayne, possible origin centres.

As for the Raiders, Sticky needs to stop those blokes from hurting in there.

Nah MX, the link where Maloney says he only came here for the huge pay rise.
https://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nr...s/news-story/fd368ef99bd2b5b9072b201ef2d34c18

He was unhappy and playing poorly at Sharks because he wasnt getting paid what he wanted.

He got a huge payrise coming here. Do you seriously think he signed with us for any reason other than that? He doesnt care what jersey he's wearing. So long as he plays well that doesnt matter. But he's clearly here for the money.

A little surprised Peachey was played so late in the match. Griffin can't do that every week surely.
I would have thought 5 - 10 before half-time would have been the best time to introduce him off the bench.
A little lucky this time around with his input.
CHN needs more time on ground too.
Still happy to be 2/2

Booing based on colour? I wasn't there so I can't comment.

I would of assumed booing because it's Greg Inglis, deserves what he gets. He took an age to get off the field as well.

That is what I saw the booing due to speed to get off. The article seems booing due to colour

Maloney got a pay rise just like Moylan did, what difference does it make. He said on League Life that he looked closely at the roster before agreeing to come here. He feels it is a premiership roster.

The slur maybe, but the booing was also because the ref stopped play immediately for GI, but let Souths take a quick tap when McKendry was down on the centre of the 20m line.

Disagree. He is really bad. If you were to rank the halves in the NRL based on performance in 2018 he would be at the bottom.

Two wayward passed yesterday and he was spewing over both. Cold drop after the Cleary linebreak. We are just good enough atm to cover for the mistakes.

In the after game interview, I thought that he was someone that looked pissed off with himself. Which I think is a good thing as he will be determined to be better.

Tom.

Bullshit. Here's your post:

Yes, he was looking for more money - most players do. But where does Maloney say he only came to the club for a huge payrise and that he doesn't want to be here. He moved his family into the area FFS. That doesn't gel with your comment.

Tom.

He has plenty of improvement in him. A guy of his quality and reputation should be unhappy with his performances so far.

I too am confident he will turn it around. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

you have a target every year it appears malony is the one this year .He is in his 2nd game at a new club.Judge him after 6 or 7 games

Like Cronk and Moylan,Malony will need a few weeks to gel with the team. I was out at Penrith yesterday, and the heat was brutal. Any team that can come from 14 points behind in over 30' conditions two weeks running gets my tick of approval.

Panthers will more than welcome next weeks 6:00 p.m. K.O. against the Dogs which will be no pushover. Then the acid test V the Cows. That game will truly determine our premiership chances this year.

I never said that he said it.

But its pretty f**king obvious what his motivation was. How does moving into the area contradict he left a $600k contract at Sharks for a 30%+ payrise with us?

He only left Sharks because he wanted more money and they didnt want to give it to him.

I think he played what he saw. South's were tiring badly, his timing was perfect. Peachey was fresh as a daisy and a real handful. Next week could be different. He might play him in the first half. Hook has done some dumb stuff but he deserves credit when something works. It's not luck.

Some pros can deliver when its all about cash and Jimmy has in the past. His bad form in 2017 is the worry. Is he washed up?

Yeah, the Dogs game will be tough. They have a big pack and we don't go so well against the bigger packs. Hopefully it is stinking hot again.

Could have afforded him a few more minutes but he brought him on at the right time. Was a match winning decision.

Im just glad Peachey didnt come on and make a mistake trying to make something happen. Really hard to have an impact in limited mi utes like that. You risk doing the opposite.
