Which is another way of saying that anyone who disagrees with Hindy re: Penrith is in the minority.

I could fix penrith too. See there problem is to many cats, boys and not enough hard ass grubs. All the skills in world and talent to win a comp but who is going to fire up and tear in? Mansour is only one.

We have a few in Brown, manu,ke,taka, Frank when fit.
Shame cause scott and Kaysa had that aggression too. And also why i wpuld consider Auvau rather then the Hoff.

How did the dogs go well for previous 5 yrs? Wasnt skill factor it was aggression.

And that is why i don't see the Panthers doing much. They are all about the flashy plays but noone wants to do the dirty work. That will win you a few games here and there but not in finals football or when the pressure is on to win in order to make finals. Merrin was one of the only ones happy to do the hard work and he is gone.
And IMO an 8 point win at home over the Titans who lost their most damaging ball runner after 10 minutes is not hot form.

Find it crazy that the bookmakers have Penrith at shorter odds for the premiership that us. In fact we are paying more ($27) now than we were 10 weeks ago

All it means there is more money being put on the panthers. Bookmakers only set the starting price, from there it's the market that determines the price.

But but but they are still going better than us.

I think our odds have been longer than Penrith all year. The bookies and the punters have been waiting for them to come into form.

That's not completely true, as Bookmakers also make adjustments based on changes in likelihood of the outcome. In fact, I'd say that the majority of the current price is still determined on likelihood rather than the actual money invested on the outcome.

This is also true for each match. If you watch the TAB presenters on Fox, they will bring up a graph that says for instance that 75% of the money is on a certain team to win, but that team still might only be paying $1.80 for the win. If the odds were purely based on the money invested, then the team who had 75% of the money on them would be automatically be paying $1.33 and their opponent $3.00.

The only real market that is based on the actual money invested is the Tote odds at the TAB for horse, dogs, trots.

The main reason for that is all the early season cash plonked on them. They will be wary of them and were never going to wind them out too much. I don't think we were in the top 10 in betting and losing someone like Guth understandably mean they wind out our price.

Hence why they've only beaten 1 top 8 team all year, off the back of a 14-4 penalty count.

For parra to win the comp they need to finish in the top 4
5th to 8th have never won a comp with an 8 team semis...

Were you really wishing us well the last time you were here? Some people have their doubts.
