Round 21 v Bulldogs @ Pepper Stadium

Has anyone seen any improvement in our attacking structure?! It's absolute rubbish.

I don't understand how this isn't getting more attention from the media & most importantly the coach.

I didn't think the game was that bad. It was a tough, grinding style of game, which is the kind of game that the Bulldogs force oppositions to play. The Bulldogs might have the worst attack in the competition but they also have one of the best defences, so it was unrealistic to expect we'd blow them off the park.

There was plenty of effort there from the Dogs and other than not having much in attack I thought they played well. Possession was 50/50 and they made more meters than us and we made more tackles than them. They threw a lot of offloads - clearly they were playing for their season and chancing their arm in an effort to try to score more points but we kept shutting them down.

I thought we were patient in attack and didn't do anything stupid. I thought we also looked more organised in attack again with Clearly running the show.

Our discipline was good and we didn't give away penalties at crucial times in the game.

The only real negative for me was that DWZ had a bad night, in an otherwise good season for him.

There was also a shocking call from the referee when the Dogs got a 20 metre 7 tackle set that should have been a changeover.

Yes! That 20 metre restart was a puzzling decision, given that the knock-on occurred in the field of play. Sterlo picked it up as well during tonight's call.

DWZ had a night to forget but he also would have scored a double. Blake blew a certain try for him early in the 2nd half when Blake decided to go through the defence for a try rather than pass it to an unmarked DWZ.

Our attack was good tonight. We win by 6 - 12 more if Blake learns to pass, they created the overlap well tonight. He seems determined to score himself.

Anyone who ught DWZ should have been fullback before Edwards. Look at this game.
Anyone who thinks Moylan should still be fullback... look at this game.

Edwards is the best fullback at our club by miles. Moylan at 5/8th improves us too. He doesnt hold Cleary back. He wasnt there tonight and we missed him.

DWZ was terrible tonight. Looked dangerous but ultimately cost us more than he helped us... was it 4 ot 5 errors?
It reminded me of last week's game V Tits.We kept them in because of our rediculous ball security (dropped balls and screwing up the play the ball) and poor discipline.

And Blake,Waka Blake. If he is not trying to prove how hard the fooker is,he magnifies his stunted mentality by performing the most rediculous errors on this planet.

And the worse thing is?...the pea-brain simply doesn't learn.Week in and week out it's always some f--king issue with him.Either he starts towing the straight line,or he might be part of the package that gets let go to make room for Maiko Sivo.

Bit optimistic. We scored two of the luckiest tries you'll ever see. They contributed 10 of our 16 points.

Sure I agree Blake bombed one but considering the other two were just pure luck? Still overall poor imo.

Considering the Dogs are one of the best defencive teams in the comp and they kept us out a few times with luck of their own I'm happy.

Yeah yeah. It was a grind against one of the better defencive teams but they did some good things that we all demanded earlier in the year. Now everyone wants to have a complain.

Did one good thing, and a bunch of nothing besides that.

And they were the 7th best defensive team before the game. If we are scared of the 7th best defensive team, we don't deserve to be in the finals.

We were playing the worst attacking side in the comp, having blown them away the last time we met, and decided to turn it into an arm wrestle. It worked in the end, but it was ugly.

Look I'm happy with the win I'm just disappointed we aren't seeing improvement in the structure. When's it going to come?

It was there tonight. They played conservative which made sense as the message all week was about how scrappy they were last week. The backline played deeper tonight in the opposition 20 and they used a few strong forwards carries to draw the defence and played out the back later in the set for the overlap which we got at least 4 times.
