Does anyone think its time for the club to open up , come clean and let us know what the hell the plan for the future is, you would think that all the rumours about the HC, salary cap, player unrest, recruitment, retention, future signings, no signings, what is our vision here, what path are we taking. When the club sits quietly in the shadows without providing a clear plan or quashing any rumours or simply address poor performance, it just makes things worse by allowing rumours and mutterings to gain momentum and drive everyone insane without knowing the truth. Its just ludicrous that we hear nothing about the future of the club and at least what sort of plan we have in place to be successful in the coming years. As was mentioned above Kogarah was half full, how many would you expect at the dragons/titans game especially if we cop another hammering this weekend. Lets just set things straight even as a red V member i dont want to go to a game where we will get flogged and will be uncompetitive, and just for the record i have attended most games when I can for the last 40 years and have slowly become disillusioned as each year rolls by, until this point where im just feeling so disconnected with what I once loved, sure I dont want to win a premiership every year but at least a 50% finals appearance for every 10-12 years would be great. And no im not referring to just fluke our way to eighth just so we can get bundled out in an embarrassing way and pat ourselves on the back for making a finals appearance. If things dont change in a big way right across the whole club, I wont renew my membership and I'll be more than happy to support the Swans or something else where I can feel proud to do so and just not feel so let down about being a dragons fan, and it even breaks my heart to say so.

My thoughts and feelings exactly justadragon.
I have followed the team since 1961 and have been a red v member for the last 10 years or so.
I would never contemplate supporting any other NRL team, I grew up in the St. George area.

Yes everything you say justa is how most here think. I know that it doesn't help us fans to be down in the dumps to keep saying these things over and over but what is there to say when we are not given any updates regularly to keep us in the loop so that we might have a different outlook and for us to get out of this constant grizzle situation?

This thread is about our game against the Sharks so I'm going to say that we will be giving it our all win lose or draw. Just go out there guys and play for the full 80 minutes and don't give up, never give up.

The 2010 Grand Final win , gave Doust and Co more time and no pressure to win another for a couple of years ...... They were all high five , pats on the back , and most likely doing other things to each other ...... But no planning was done after the win , they were all content with the achievement and plodded along with Price , then , Mary, and now Hook ...... So its like this I dont blame the coaches to some extent , I blame the wankers who keep on making these decisions .....

Mr Angry, why are Sharkies fans so angry all the time?
I mean, even look at the two forums, we dragons fans start our thread round 21 vs Sharks.
Head to the Sharks forum and it’s round 21 vs St Merge Filth.
Such an angry lot, funny bastards, but angry.
You make an excellent point. I've changed the title of this thread to something more appropriate.

I have a silly song in my head.

Woodsy, he wore a headband.
Woodsy, he now plays for the saints.

Wwwwoooodddsssy he cannot turn around.

Woodsy, gave up a penalty.

Is it a missed tackle if you do not even touch the attacker, Woodsy poses such questions.

Make sure he plays Griff, I will even allow a try.

Woodsy loves a celebration.....even at 46-0 nil down.

Wooooddddssyy!!!!!
Sums it up nicely.

yes you are right Dave, apologies for sticking my rant in this thread, but really what do we have to talk about concerning the sharks game, I'd give anything for a Dragons win, especially against the sharks, but with the constant regurgitation of selections and game plans, in my heart its over before it even began,,,there is hope I suppose but its running thread bear.

Some expected reluctance to start this thread, so I'll give it a go, working on the theory that things cannot get much worse.

We play the high flying sharks on their turf Saturday night at 7:30 pm. They got away with a gritty win last week against souths, and have shown what a team can do when they choose a coach who knows what they're doing, and some speedy outside backs. Will Griffin do a copy/paste, as usual, with the slowest backline in the game, or will he take a punt on giving Tyrell another shot? My pick is the former.
Cut/paste

Next chance we will have for a win is round 23 against the Titans which will ensure we finish 11th for two years in a row.

My understanding is because of the salary cap issues we are unable to pursue new players

Feel the same way smarty I'm Fifty six and so sick of the same shit dished up every year .Boring attack and shocking defense . Dinosaurs running the club with no hope of removing .
The sad thing is it looks like its going to go on for many more years.
At this point in time I would like to see Flanno as coach and maybe getting Some young up and coming assistants maybe with the view of taking over in about two or so years.
Agree I have said previously that we won't be competitive until 2025

Will cop 40 in front of 19,000 sharkies thats a given...do the usual..be close at half time then cop a gob full of points in the 2nd half...2023 wont be any different unless new coach arrives and a raft of new players,....
Agree we need 2 new props that can consistently run 100m+ a game. Forwards win games the backs decide by how much. We just don't have a competitive pack. Throw young Muhleisen on as hooker giving some attacking option from dummy half. Feagai's in starting team, Sloan fullback give us some options.

To me justa the game is a fait accompli with the Sharks winning comfortably. They are in the top 4 at the moment and they cannot afford to lose as the Storm and Broncos are breathing down their neck and a win will keep them up in 3rd place. All we can do is play a decent game and not just give up in the second half. If you were an optimist you could say we win by the skinniest of margins but optimism flew out the window when all we can muster is the same team that could not sustain playing good football in the second half against the Cowboys.

We then will have the start of the next thread v the Raiders for Round 22 to contend with, oh deary me!
