It was a frustrating game but IMO there were good signs.

Our execution was a little down but we actually put on a few decent backline moves today which gave our outside men some space. Blake & DWZ are seeing a heap more ball.

We miss plenty of one on one tackles unfortunately but overall our defensive structures have improved out of sight. We very rarely get caught short on the edges & if we do our commitment to cover defence is excellent.

Seems the flavour of the month to be negative despite now being in the 8 but I honestly don't think we're too far off. If we click one week, I think we'll put a serious score on a team & be very hard to stop the weeks after that

We are only two wins behind the Sharks who have Broncos, Cowboys, Roosters, Knights to end the year. If we win all our games, which is a massive if, we could even finish above them.

Carty is looking slightly more physical with his hits. His attack has been quiet. But honestly I think its a good thing for now. If he slowly warms up in the next few weeks he could give us a real boost come finals time.

Only missed 2 tackles aswell. Better than Browne even with his 5 missed tackles.

I wouldnt even blink if carty never played again this year, after all he has gone through.

God knows what is going through his mind after his ex girlfriend just killed herself, which clearly was a result of their indifference's... Horrible for both her family and him and his.....

Teddy (like Minicello) always reminds me of an unco-ordinated Italian Chef on a busy night. Limbs flying all over the kitchen.

There's no way known he is in a fit state of mind but to say why she did it is unfair to all concerned

Some positives, a lot of negatives not least our 65% completion rate. Kicking game was poor but that is reflective of the fact we only have the one player who kicks in general play. I thought we defended really well early in there sets and then had brain explosions on the last play which led to a couple of there tries. Happy to come away with the two points in a difficult game. I think a let to take out of today leading into a big game next Saturday night.

It is unfair to say it, but come on... its clear as day the web between those two was a contributing factor in what happened..

Wallace should have helped out kicking. We should also consider someone else getting to dummy half on the 5th and Pete being an extra kicking option in the 20m

A couple of observations, the Peachy no try was a another blight on our game where a player blatantly 'dives' knowing he has no chance to stop the player in possession and get's rewarded. Two tries set up by Waqa Blake adds a new dimension to his game, they were both quality pieces of footy. Our back three were really good this afternoon and always gave us a lift when we needed one. The clutch play was the break by CHN which led to the try which sealed the game for us. Still not sure we are where we need to be but given our horrific start to the season we cannot complain too much I guess. You must be in a reasonable place when you win five on the trot and are still complaining.!!!!!

Peachey no try was a disastrous decision, horrendous.

Our middle defence for a lot of the game was terrible but if we're still picking apart certain aspects of a performance despite winning the last 9 out of 11, it shows what fans are expecting of the team and how highly we believe we can perform, which is a great thing.

The players are trying hard, they're aware of what we expect too. They'll have to go that bit better next week against North Queensland though.Paul Green called their game against Melbourne "the worst refereed game ever", so historically and statistically speaking we are going to get slammed in the penalty count. But being alarmed of having a coach who is the only one in the comp that doesn't talk about referees, in a competition where you will get 'compensated' the week after you complain, is far fetched and tin foil hat stuff according to a certain member of this forum...

I hear what you're saying about the negativity & it's genuinely great to get these wins. But the fluidity of the play still concerns me. We've very rarely played well for big blocks of the game this season. I'm not seeing any improvement here.

We're throwing the ball around way too much, on early tackles as well. And as Griffin said our 5th tackle options are rubbish.

I'd just like to see more structure, particularly early in the sets.

Do you think anyone associated with either troll these forums? Why is my comments classless? I was simply pointing out a fact of the entire situation...
Panthermike I have to agree with Umina. You are not in possession of enough information to judge what led to her death and speculating in social media will be distressing to her family. You should be careful in making assertions like this in a public forum.

Neil Henry whinged about the refs in our game and it hasn't done his side much good. You are probably right though. We got a nasty hammering in Townsville against Green's side.
