Nathan Cleary is currently the best player in the game and yet I truly believe Burton is more talented. Going to kill me for the rest of my life how we lost him

Im upset we are losing him to.

Whilst the dogs have recruited well they are still lacking a genuine 7 and 9 next year..

Burton has showed he isnt suited to game management and is more like luai.. better just left to involve himself when he sees the oppurtunities.

I dont think he will have it as easy at the dogs next year and he will take some time to adjust.

I still think he will end up like wade graham down the track. Hes certainly looked at his best for us at centre and just when hes run the ball on good lines..which is a 2nd rower type roll.. he has the added benifit of a decent kicking and passing game too like wade.

Hes already going to be a special player but i think it will be a few years before we see the best of him. Not sure he will get to naths level.. hes on another planet atm

Needs to be given a proper go a centre. He carved up teams all year in nsw cup when playing there.

He started one game earlier in the year in 2nd row. We had nothing were getti g done and looked shot. Wallace moved him to centre with 20 to go and he turned the game on its head and won it with induvudual brilliance.

Needs to get first crack at burtons centre spot next year.

That was against Souths he gave Braiden Burns a bath!!

I’m not missing any point I get what you are saying I just don’t agree, you seem to think your opinions are facts. Do you think players can’t impact the game from the bench? if you really think that just wow. Liam Martin has spent most of his career coming off the bench and providing awesome impact what are you even talking about. Kikau started his career as impact back rower also.

I would argue X factor off the bench who come on and provide impact like Tago did last night is harder to find than good centres. Tago come on and forced a turnover from a cleary bomb that led to try. He’s already doing what you say he can’t do I honestly your comments ridiculous. I’m trying not to be insulting so let’s just leave it.

The cleary "shoulder charge" was a weird tackle for him. I thought at the time he may have been protecting his injured one.

Souths reserves were absoulutley stacked that game too full of nrl players. They had a much stronger side than us..

Wallace had tago at 2nd row first 60. He was good without doing anything special. We were getting beaten and outclassed. Wallace moved him to centre and tago literally turned the game on his head by himself. The extra space and being one on one with players and ge was unstoppable. And burns is an nrl player so a great measurement.

I’ve never said he can’t play centre. I’ve talked his great form there at nsw cup many times. I just think he’s headed for the backrow given he’s young and still growing. Even the commentary was talking about how much he’s going to fill out last night during the game, the idea he can’t be a good backrow option is just ridiculous imo.

Hahaha no. He doesnt have the acceleration to be as good as teddy or turbo. When he gets going hes quick but teddy and turbo have that brilliant speed over the first 10. Teddy looks rapid in his movements and turbo is quite a graceful mover but they are both much quicker or first 10 or 20 than burto.. and the first 10 or 20m is where it really counts.

I think i was the first on here this year to call for burton at fb when edwards got injured. I got hammered and everyone wanted critta there.

I think he would do a really good job there if given an extended run as hes just an allround footballer. But saying hed rival two of best fbs in last 20 years is silly. Only slater is better than them.

They are extremely talented so yes it’s very possible.

it’s very possible Tago starts at centre but I just it’s more likely he ends up in the backrow at some point.

Shoulder tackle to the body should not even be a penalty. This came in because players were doing shoulder charges to the head, and as usual, the NRL threw out the baby with the bathwater.
