The only thing confusing me is how someone can get up after being tackled, face the marker and step 2 metres to the side and play the ball and get a penalty for markers not standing square. It just shows how completely and utterly useless the referee's are. They either do not know the rules, are blind or cheats. In no other line of work could somebody be so bad and keep their job.
I'm noticing this a lot lately, as well as the tackled player getting up and shoving the marker offside, or wrestling with the tackler on the ground and not allowing them to get to marker.
The Bulldogs forwards are basically playing tunnel ball out there and are just being "coached" on it by the refs.
With up to 5 sets of eyes available to look at all these things, how do they consistently get it so wrong? It's not like we're asking 1 ref to look out for all of these things at once. Or maybe Archer is doing just that?
It's been said so many times before, but - stop calling them by their first names - use numbers, stop warning them and just put the whistle in your mouth. Yes fans will complain about penalties, but it's a better look than focusing on one thing for a week and then letting it happen or just coaching to it the next 7 weeks.
