Taka's arm ended up wrapped around Morgan's back. I don't think he'll be charged with a shoulder.

No way was it a shoulder charge, but it should have been a certain penalty for a high shot. I still don't understand how a guy clearly cops a shoulder to the head (accidntal or not) and it is let go. JWH, Jeremy Smith or Greg Bird do the same thing and the whistle wouldn't get into the refs mouth quick enough.

I'm also unsure how Morgan wasn't taken off under the concussion rule.

I'm sure we can agree that the judiciary is inconsistent and the shoulder charge rulings are ridiculous and will cost teams in the finals from nothing incidents.

Also I'm sure we can agree crowds are poor as supporters have had enough of the refs and constant changes in rules which confuses refs, players and supporters.

Imo Taukieaho should get 1 week, as should Burr and Milford.

it seems anything which involves a shoulder making contact with a body gets called a shoulder charge. for all the hoo-ha about pomeroy being sent off for a "shoulder charge" in ESL, his arm is actually raising up like a conventional tackle, a split second more and he wraps the player up with his arm

i know it's a sensitive issue due to ackerman's unfortunate death, but it's ridiculous. how many shoulder charges in the history of league have killed or seriously maimed people? what does it work out as a percentage? .0000000000000000001?

i dont recall cricketers calling for the bouncer to be banned after hughes died (maybe they did, i dunno, i dont pay attention to cricket)
