i hope we can lift for the big occasion, this is a massive contest.

Still plenty of time to get key players back, find some form, but we need to start putting some really good games together sooner rather than later and get our edge defence sorted.

Martin is gone for a week if he accepts the early plea or two if he fights and loses.

Will we line up with a starting pack entirely of middle forwards?

Or he plays Geyer & one of them & a bench of Toelau Eiso LS/LH Patea

Assuming Fish plays? In the injury report. Pete Green sounded less likely that he'd play.

Personally I'd play Kepoara but Ivan will pick a side to be solid in defence and back the halves to create enough points

Ivan can't get Laurie into a game from 14. It's Trent's spot

It's a question of cover.

Toelau has looked pretty good. If the plan is to catch tired forwards he is the guy. If we are instead thinking about covering the backs then it's Laurie.

Think of a future scenario with injury cover and Laurie starts looking like the better pick. Like last years grand final. Cogger was a must with Luai's injury and thank god we picked him. Toelau can cover halves but we haven't seen him in the 1, or wing/centre.

That's my team. Start Geyer.

If Edwards is back then it's Toelau v Laurie for the 14. They have both been good it's a tough choice.

Yeah agree. Id prefer to run a another proper 2md rower but no one else is ready..

Daine really doesnt deserve to be dropped. Hes been brilliant but i think trent probably is a better fit for coverage.

If ivan could work out a way to inject daine properly itd be worth a shot but in a tight game i just dont see it happening

We really need Garner back

He's the best benchie in the NRL due his ability to cover centre and second row at first grade level.

It then allows Toelau on the bench as playmaker cover.

Kepaoa may have to make his debut there really aren’t any other options. He played okay on the wing in NSW Cup last night scored a try, before being taken off at HT due to his being 18th man.

MG2 has to start has improved each week and can play big minutes. There really isn’t a better option.

Ivan and his coaches have a lot of work to do to sort out our defence on the edges. Sunia made some shocking decisions to come in last night When he had no need too.
