Cmon Oldie your boy will get his time eventually, give the Kat some love!

His delivery was top notch.

Interesting to see the thinking behind bringing in Katoa for Egan. Wonder if Maloney had a say in it? Or maybe Egan just needed another day or two to recover.

His defence was better. I just think he needs to relax a little. Kind of like he's trying to hard. Better than not trying at all.

Good effort against what was really a reserve grade side.
More like a top 2 side with a couple of champions and a couple of others out. They missed Munster and Slater badly.

Manly had Broncs measure at Suncorp earlier in the year. Both were in similar form too.
Unfortunately, what we've got here is a conflict of interests. The NRL make quite a packet from a Brisbane final in week 1 compared to one in Sydney, and they have the ability to influence results. Whether that in fact happens who knows but I've got a funny feeling Manly would be better off staying home. We wait with baited breath.

We really compressed our line. Souths would rip us to pieces on the edges if we play like that but regardless I just want us to play with grit like this even if we lose.

Well it was good to see some actual football in the second half.
Someone obviously had a word to the ref, the storm look a different team when not constantly backed by the whistle.
We are the best 2nd half team in the comp. Getting that confidence and self belief in a win like that, will put them in good spirits for next weekend.

If only we can tweak those silly penalties and costly mistakes to a bare minimum, then we can be a challenge to anyone in the top 8.

I guess depends if he plays tomorrow or not

Katoa has finals and test match experience. He will be our starting no.9 next week. Of that I have no doubt.

Possible for Saints to win by 20 and Brisbane to blow Manly away with a 36 -4 scoreline.
That would mean away to Brisbane. And would of been better to lose and play Saints here.
I reckon Saints will whip knights and get 5th while Brisbane will win by 20 and play Panthers in Sydney.

I was just watching the highlights and I thought that the storm player that got held by Mansour was well in front of the kicker anyway. I was also fuming at the number of forward passes that they got away with.
