Round 25 v Storm @ AAMI Park

Would've needed Sharks to lose by 19 on the weekend to finish in fourth so I doubt it'll matter anyway. Bigger risk is Broncos can overtake us if they win by 36 or more over Manly which is a possibility. Dragons need to beat Knights by 20. So we should finish in 5th.

Oh and very impressed with Crichton. Finally had another good game for us. He was very strong considering we didnt use our right edge much at all. With Kikau and Blake on the left whysoulf we?

40% possession. Slammed by the refs.. That line speed much better. RCG and JFH were terrible so when they lift wow.

How good was Crichton

This is the dumbest team I have ever witnessed and I have witnessed some spectacularly dumb Panthers teams. JFH 3 penalties on the 5th. What a braindead merkin.

DWZ drops the ball 2nd tackle after weight of possession against us.

Sauce bad play the ball and gets binned needlessly. Every player seems to have these hopeless errors in them.

How we are not down by 20 is a miracle. Then again we are getting beat by a quasi reserve grade Storm.

The strip against Fish was a dropped ball called wrong.

Highly likely we finish 5th now.

Bronocs would need to win by 33+ to jump over us.

Dragons would need to win by 20+

Who we play in week one is up in the air though.

For those who thought the Panthers would receive a hiding, raise your hands. My hand is raised. With the benefit of hindsight, those loses were needed. Happy days.

I thought we would once Melbourne pulled Munster and Billy Just thought the team would think they'd be too good again.

The boys were up for it and yes we all know i don't rate him as some do but Maloney did a fantastic job tonight as captain

As soon as we got into end to end footy it was all ours. Maloney was fantastic and so was Cleary, that swing down the short side and kick into the corner was sublime(that goal kicking though).

The Storm were missing some key players and Clearys radar was way off but there were some very good signs tonight.

The defense on the line was a massive improvement. The forwards ground it out where they'd been getting dominated previously. Most importantly Maloney was back at the level that had him in Dally M contention. The halves in general looked way better, with Clearly clearly benefitting from the space that Maloney gave him. The left edge was brutal. It was pleasing the ease with which we got around them out there and again Maloney deserves plenty of credit for that. Crichton playing like that puts the fullback issue to bed. Like others have said that was a stunning performance that I didnt see coming.

Discipline was the problem. The refs in the first half were atrocious, but amongst the bullshit calls there were dumb penalties at the end of the set on their 40. There were dropped balls and poor options. Even reasonable referees would have seen us at a deficit in possession. It's not going to cut it against a full strength team in the finals.

Still not confident against any of the 8 bar the Dragons, but were closer than we were last week. That's as good as can be expected given the circumstances.

I think the Dragons will win but I don’t think they will beat the Knights by 20.

I do worry however about the Broncos absolutely flogging Manly. I could see them beating Manly by 33+. Broncos have been in hot form and Manly have given up.
