Our players know nothing about seizing the moment. They have zero match awareness within games, let alone appreciate the significance of big occasions. Because we are a physical (not dominant) team we can match it with teams on a good day for some of the time but are constantly let down by the mental side of the game.
I only watched the first half on Saturday. I missed the more entertaining, yet equally disappointing second 40 min but for crying out loud... Ravalawa and R Couchman were absolutely diabolical! 100% hookable offences, and these are players been afforded the golden chance from the coach and they just ruin our chances within about 15 minutes. Easy targets I know, but if not them there's always some player - Sloan, Hunt, Feagai, Bird, Lawrie, Eisenhuth, RFM, K Flanagan, to name some regulars, ready to have an absolute shocker in a big match and cruel our chances. And then we have the players that just go missing and wonde rif they even played.
I know I don't have much constructive to contribute to this forum these days but I just hope there comes a time again I can really be proud of a Dragons team, look at the players and really buy what they are selling. I long to see a group that actually emanate the Dragons spirit and St George type pride. I can't come to love this team and their erratic nature makes them really frustrating to watch.
