No game is a nothing game.. I get the frustration.. but every bit of positive energy inserted into this club drives us forward.. and the reverse is also true.

I'm not sure if Max is carrying an injury.. regardless Tamale as a winger will have a huge game.. hopefully no dumb errors and they dont bomb him too much.. he will go at it for 80mins up against his future club.

But lets be honest.. were all out of troops.. and we aint playing Ravalawa again.. im not even sure we would have had a team left to play finals.

I think we will see a similar game as the last few round last year. Shouldn't get flogged but means nothing.

Late injuries cooked us so, looking for a good game to finish off the year and seeing the young bloke.

It's not like Souths missing many players most of the season.
Shows how our recruitment has been rubbish.

Love this coach

has all the attributes we need to succeed

Alluded to the fact that some of the juniors we haven’t seen in first grade yet will debut next season

Bird gone for sure

My main concern is quality depth and speed out wide

Look forward to seeing LKT given another chance to gain experience at a critical position.

The team is chosen based on the best available which is Flanno's philosophy and the minute chance of us making top 8 (Knights and Dolphins draw and us beating Raiders).

Best available is a notion based on past performance and does not work always and we saw an example of it last week (Ask Max Fegai - he was best available last week, but gone this week)

So based on that philosophy Tamale was chosen. But he will be joining Raiders next year! Therefore making one FG appearance for the club in all likelihood. Ricky should get Flanno a beer for this.

Also, based on that philosophy, Blake Laurie is chosen! Blake has been a total mess this year. Most of the time he seems one or two steps behind in attack. He is so unfit that it takes him ages to stand up and play the ball!

With astronomical odds against us to make final 8:
With Tamale, Flanno did not have a choice as all our other wingers or centres are injured.
But with Laurie, I reckon Egan would have been a better choice to get him into FG,

Yes, the only explanation for me is we have some nibbles in trying to offload Cake so it would counteract these negotiations in not presenting him as a current NRL player. Or am I reading too much into this or wishful thinking?

I'm not excited about watching today's game at all.
If the Dolphins and Knights game was today and it ended in a draw and we are to play the Raiders tomorrow afternoon, then the adrenalin would be pumping for sure as the game would mean something. At this stage of proceedings it is just an anti-climax and I know that I am being limp with what I say because the reality is there will be no draw irrespective of whether or not we win today.
