Round 3 v Mel

If Blaize is the best available fullback then he should be playing.

This hesitance to use him coupled with the consistent rumers that Parramatta want him back lead me to think that maybe there is a serious flaw in his game that wasnt known when we signed him??? He is an experienced first grader with numerous tries (some individual efforts). We need to start using him or cut our losses and move on.
Let's keep the conspiracy theories going just to really get the lunatics talking.

Flaws in his game are what coaches are for.

20 years old and played a grand total of 19 first grade games does not make an experienced first grader.

He's a kid that has experienced first grade at arguably the most diabolical club in the country so lets just have him learn to be a real footballer and play through the grades at arguably the best club in the country.

It's much more likely he's just taking the time to develop into the 6. He had shoulder surgery and is at a new club.

I wouldn't be surprised if he comes in and Jenkins goes to wing though.

Spot on. But the word arguably doesn't apply in either case there.

The counter to that is Ivan has named a bloke who wasn't good enough to play on the wing for Newy

Newcastle is no comparison because that coach has limited ideas and only one K. Ponga has done enough for him to keep his job recently.

Milky was a shiny new toy from Penrith that he just had to have, but O'Brien's insecurity let him stagnate in reserve grade because some other shiny new toy was fast.

The recent signing should confirm this inept clubs ideas.

Would be nice to see him play without having to make so many defensive decisions.

Get him on the roids and put him in the backrow
He is around the same build as Nanai/Nikura should work.
Out of curiosity, and considering Panthers don't recruit outside, who would replace Tago at Centre.?

Not trying to fuel any conspiracy theories. I'm just suprised that Blaize would not be the "best available" fullback after Daine and Dyl. I just cant see in any world where Jenkins is in front of him (as a fullback).

Correct. If they are fast tracking Edgar then that is fair enough but a 23 year old. Who has played 80% of all his footy as a winger over Blaze ( who's best position maybe Fullback ) makes zero sense

I would bet money that blaize will come in and Jenkins to wing. In saying that in saying that it might just be blaize isn't ready due to not getting a full pre season. He's looked very mid in cup.

Talagi hasnt warranted a FG spot - prefer that he has to earn it, and out of the NSW cup backs - its clear that Milky has been the best so far, so its warranted he gets a spot in FG this week.

just a good defensive effort tonight - stop leaking so many dam points

Yep word all week has been Casey isn't playing. Ivan being Ivan is the sort of coach that sees this as keeping pressure off Blaze.

He has been mid but remember we have a slab of guys under done. I saw enough v Newtown when he was closer to the ball that he'd be fine in the top grade.

It is just finding when to drop someone or injury forcing Ivan's hand
