If anyone thinks this is the team that will run out come Thursday I'll eat my hat.

Milky in for Mclean. Brad Scn in the halves (for defense reasons in the middle) Either TT or Blaize at 14.

Cole has been awful so far but it would be very rough drop him after only 2 games in the 6.

If it's the difference between solid defense in the middle or not. I know what I would do. Have a feeling Ivan is thinking this way too.

Cause we can't keep leaking points.

I dunno. Announcing that Casey keeps his spot before just form dropping him for a guy from cup doesn't seem like Ivan's style. He's usually a bit more respectful than that.

It works. Melbourne plan their traffic down his edge. Instead they get the secret weapon Jenkins...

But its out in the twitter world anyway so its not much of a surprise.

Cole should be given 5/6 games. If he can't perform (especially against some bum teams ) then he should be replaced.
It would be a little unfair to cut and run after a couple of games.

Yeah I'm sure there's a logic to it, but I just don't see him doing it that much, especially in an instance where you're dropping a guy for form reasons. It's different for someone who's keeping a spot warm for an established player.

We'll see i guess.

I'd rather pick and stick too.

Cole has been in the Penrith system for a few years now, I am positive Ivan knows what he can bring. Hard to fault him against the Roosters last week considering it was probably the worst game for about 5/6 years, not many played well.

Normally rock solid in defence, just needs a bit of time in the 6 next to Nathan to further his game. If all else fails there, try him at Centre or just play him as the 14.

Penrith were sh$t against the Roosters. I give them a chance to to show what they really can do. Having said that, their best might not be good enough this week.

I'm a firm believer in dropping and promoting players based on performance as deserved. That's why the twgo thing and then the McLean thing is weird. It is an inconsistent application of it. Tago was borderline the worst defender in the comp for a long time. He came good when it mattered yes and the players and coaches knew this and it was admitted publicly.

That's my real issue why is one guy getting the benefit of the doubt when multiple other players aren't.

Edit: tago is one of the best centres in the game at his best in my opinion so no this isn't hate.
Runs on the board I think they call it.
