If that’s the best out attack can get it’s time to start building for a couple years down the line instead of deluding ourselves into thinking we can win again. Cleary is an absolute stud but we can’t keep losing attacking guns and replacing them with journeymen and expecting to be a gun side. Imagine this side next year but Spencer’s gone and we have Huth in his place, there’ll be no bench impact at all.

I haven't seen any of our games this season yet, so I have a genuine question for those that have: any indication that losing our two assistants has made much of a difference in the coaching side of things? Or is it just the direct loss of Korisau and Kikau combined with key players down on form?

He ran more metres than both our starting props tonight, both halves are running it due to no other options

Yeah he’s trying but we need a lot more from him in attack. Our left side has been woeful and that’s what’s halves get paid big money for, to create points not churn out metres.

Chrichton didn’t really run much, but the same can be said for our starting front row. When Spencer Leinu is making more metres then Fisher Harris and Leota you know we’re f**ked.

Ivan wants to run a 2 forward bench for some reason whilst our back 3 are pretty much our forward pack, what line of thinking this is I’ll never know. It worked before when the forwards chipped in but they were pathetic tonight.
That's been our style of play for 3 years.

The outside backs do the heavy lifting carrying the ball to save the forwards for defence.

Critta took the absolute piss tonight. He was honestly disgraceful

I think in this 17 man comp its enough.

Not that we rest on our laurels. But we are a hardened side. I still back us over Cows/Sharks. In games against flashy teams I say its even.

Not sure it is though, Look at the games we have lost.

Round 1. Critter poor read and Cleary missed tackle cost as the game.

Tonight a kick and a left side mix up cost the game.

Prob need to find a way to get 20 points a game for it to work

You could argue both couldn't you?

The team losses look pretty big in terms of attack. But they still play like its 21/22 so that might be on the coaching.

Watching just the warriors highlights you can see how dangerous they look in attack. Losing Api and Kikau are our #1 and 2 reasons but losing our attack assistant coach is a close #3.

Both halves are getting tackled late in the set going taking on the line, Zero options out there. We don't even offload

But again. Both were signed before last pre-season, plenty of time to sort shit out

I've caught a couple of the Warriors games, and they look very well coached. But early days. It is the Warriors after all.

I get that but usually our forwards would at least make some runs off the hard starts our back 3 would give them, tonight they did nothing. Made a lot of tackles sure but even then our defensive line speed was nowhere near where it used to be.

Maybe it worked before but it’s very possible it won’t work nearly as well as it used to now that teams have caught up and we have a very light bench. We weren’t even in the battle until Sorensen and Leinu came on and as soon as they were pulled off Parra took the momentum straight back.
