Great win but let’s see the Dragons put in a similar performance against the likes of Melbourne, the Chooks and Souths before suffering the annual bout of premature jubilation.

The team is capable, however, it’s still undetermined whether it can match it stride-for-stride with the top sides

Remember, Canterbury are simply rubbish this year.

Yeh maybe so.

But we beat them by 36 more points than the Melbourne Storm did last week.

Super proud of the my beloved Dragons! Everyone clicked and this was the best team performance all year. Hunt was awesome and he thrives on confidence.
Our defence was great and we our kept our cool when we had a string of calls against us. Credit to Coach and a staff for getting the boys up for this one!

Some excellent passages of play
Some excellent defence
Some excellent combinations
Some excellent tries
Some excellent performances by most of the maligned players
Excellent cameo from Lomax
But don’t underestimate how shit the Bulldogs were as I think they played their GF last week
Dogs were diabolical and they will have a very long season indeed.
tend to agree on most of that except Melbourne didn’t show enough respect and when that happens upsets happen

I remember seeing a post almost identical to this last year ???

I don't think you're giving the boys enough credit for this win. It was based on a high level of commitment in defence right across the park and simple but effective game control from our halves, something that's mostly eluded us until now. The doggies didn't have a chance against that. Most teams would have folded under that pressure. We also diffused all of their attacking kicks and there were plenty of those. Great effort from the boys, they keep that up and we stay in the 8.

Terrific effort today, won the game on defence with a thick 7 try layer of icing, pretty to watch.
Thought the refs were very ordinary letting the Dogs lay all over us close to their line and letting Lewis get away with leg pulls, interfering in the ruck and forward passes. Their linesmen were useless as well.

Everyone played really well, Hunt, Norman, Lafai and Vaughan standouts with Graham and McInnes providing the backbone. T.Sims looks to be getting back to top form almost and Host and Leilua continue to impress. I'd like to see Lawrie run straight and hard and hit the line with some leg drive instead of running sideways and submitting for the quick play the ball ( which isn't working anyway, he has the slowest play the ball behind Hunt ). I noticed on a couple of occasions we had opportunities through the middle but went wide out of habit, I think Widdop would have seen these - twice it opened up like Sydney Heads but we missed it.
Very Happy with this win against the Doggies, it'll make my working week a lot more pleasant, one of my workmates is a mouthy dogs supporter and I owe him for last year. Thanks boys.

Yes nice to see our wingers get the ball rolling Mikaele ravalawa improving every week certainly made the bullfrogs new super winger look ordinary. GO THE BIG RED V and what a great pack we have gives HUNT and NORMAN a nice platform. .....
