Broncos certainly had the wood on the Bennett coached Dragons. We did win 6 in a row against your boys before Bennett arrived. I'm hoping now he's gone and Price is in charge, we can get back on the winner's list. Go Dragons!

3. Andrew McCullough - Best performance in awhile to start us off. Focussed and got us moving forward. Second stint was good too, made some really important tackles and the clean up on Soward's kick was huge.

2. Ben Hannant - Immense again.

1. Alex Glenn - Good try, couple of good runs but it was his defence that really impressed me tonight.

good first half. Crap second half. Wish Thaiday led by example and didn't drop the ball so often

Norman had a good first 15 mins..Does the guy ever pass the ball??

Also, if we wanna play a prop for 15 mins on the field all game then it's gotta be Hala. Not sure when he's back but he's much more effective than Anderson.

We finally get a great first half on the board this year, only to drop off in the second half. Which is disappointing. Still a good performance overall.

Starting to miss Parker at times I think. His workload anyhow.

Agreed with above, Anderson is not an impact prop. At all.

Also getting really fed up with Thaiday not holding the ball. Not only does he drop it far to often, he nearly drops it every other time.

Oh yeah and 4/5 is pretty fantastic. Bring on the Tigers.

3. McCullough - followed on with his great effort against the Bunnies last week with an even better effort this week. His dummy half running in the first half was outstanding and I thought he played a big part in stemming the bleeding in the second half when he came back on.
2. Wallace - controlled the ball well and directed the team around the park perfectly.kicking game was solid and he made some very important tackles in the second half that stopped the comeback getting much worse than it did.
1. Hannant - huge effort again in defence and solid in attack.

Truth is we were lucky to get away with that. Norman showed his inexperience - he played well in attack but should have shifted it wide a few more times when we had them backpedalling. His shocking read in defence when he missed Stanley was pure inexperience. He will get better and I am enjoying watching him grow into his position. The try he scored was carbon-copy Lockyer

Special mention to McGuire again - he didnt have quite as much impact this week but he still got stuck in like he does every time he goes on.
I thought Gillette was out of the game for 40 minutes both sides of half time after Weyman levelled him. He will learn from that. All very well being a human missile but sooner or later you are gonna hit a reinforced bunker that you just bounce off and the bounce sometimes hurts....

All in all though we held it together and here we are 4 from 5 and a good start to a long campaign. Give these boys another 3 months of solid footy under their belts and as long as there are no more serious injuries these guys are gonna be in the mix at the business end of the season.

BRONCOS!!!!!

Agree with user_nat, Thaiday's handling is sh1thouse and often kills promising movements.

Have to disagree with CaneToad above me. Even though Gillett went into his shell a little bit (in comparison to how he starts) he was still making big and crucial tackles at the end (like the try saver on Morris).

Good game but disappointed the Broncos let them back in.

Well done lads well deserved victory. Even though our boys lost my first trip to suncorp was memorable everything that I expected and more, atmosphere was unbelievable I will definitely make the trip again. Well worth it, again well done for tonight, you got a gun squad there, good luck for the year, well not to much:)

Who's better Fourex?

Elia or Hanc?

Good question Peter.

IMO Elia is more teenage groupie......

& Hancock is more demented stalker.

Both are as equally annoying as each other

...........although I believe "Hanc" isn't as active as he once was.

Fair call DeeJ - I was more referring to him learning a valuable lesson about picking his target carefully and being aware of what can happen if he doesn't quite get it right - he could have ended up a lot worse off - if he ended up getting Weymans shoulder in the nose he would have been in Disnayland for a week and he did spend a bit of time getting back into the game after the hit he took...

Special mentions to Peter Wallace for his outstanding defence and for his leadership/halfback control over the team in the 2nd half when we were getting tired and looking like wavering.....inspirational stuff

Glenn, McGuire, Reed and Hodges were standouts for mine as well.

I'm starting to come around to the idea of starting McGuire over Petro........

McCullough's purple patch helped win the game. Disappointed that we didn't go on with it.

In this case

why the f*ck take Mc off and replace him with Hunt?

Horses for courses Hook.........if the man is having a blinder

let him play.

porn scorn and hatred on Brisbane at any given opportunity. This is a big game boys........the Merge hate us

FIRE UP !!

Most arrogant know it alls on the face of the planet.......

They scream........."put shit on me........I'm a fu*ckwit"

.......JMO.

Bwahahahaha!!!!

Now you've done it - I couldn't help myself

I have joined the fun and now it's time to watch the frenzy
I'm not normally into trolling but it really is so much fun when it comes to st merge and the wankers (mostly) that follow them....
the crap that they drivel really does leave them open for some serious baiting and they never let you down.
I have already had one phone call tonight from a mate who is a sad dragons nut and as usual he was blaming the reffing. I agreed with him that the refs had a shocker with the number of knock-ons and dropped balls they had in the first half......hahahaha

So true, weyman bunked him there! Yeah I think Gillo made some monster plays to shut down some potential breaks. always seems to be in the right place including his try.

Darren Lockyer told them how to comeback and they did it, through some easy repeat sets and ST George exploiting our inexperience in defence. Hoffman I think needs just a little fine tuning under those high balls. Game of two halves where the team who captilized on errors better won. In the end brissy the better team. No wonder they call them chokers..... TO THE BRONCOS!!!

3. Undoubtably McCollough for a perfect 1st half -too bad we couldn't score off ha 40/20 -still not being simple enough on attack, but when we were: BOOM

2. Hannant f**king great workload and lifted the squad

1. Gillet - A champion in the making

Other decent performances were:
Wallace a nice game from him, starting to really step-up
Norman a checkered game on df but I like his line running!
Hodgo made some crucial runs during some big lapses on go forth in the 2d
Glenn was cunning

Copley looked world class with his two touches also

Just watched the game...they finally had the decency to show the Melbourne Storm game and then the Broncos match at a reasonable hour down here on gem. Hopefully it becomes a habit.
With the Boncos match the dragons matched us for the first 15 minutes playing pretty tough and error free footy and i thought we were in for a tough one. But then they seemed to fall in a heap and we just ran away with it for the next 25 minutes with 24 unanswered points at half time.
Second half different story and i was dreading a dragons comeback. Some brain dead pr**k missiled soward ( not that i really minded that) after a kick on the 5th and they got a try from the result of the penalty. From then on they pressured us and we started throwing possession away and they scored another 2 trys within 10 minutes.
I'm just glad the dragons didn't make their comeback any earlier then the 50th minute because they just kept on steamloading us in the 2nd half. Thankfully we got our wind back and scored our only try for the 2nd half around the 70th minute mark. Hannant was the standout along with big Macca and Gillett was in usual form. Wallace was again busy steering us around the park, Beale keeps improving and Hodges and Civo do what they do best. Thaiday had a bit of a shocker and Copely just managed to hang in there. Glad we won but have to tidy up our act to have any chance of beating Melbourne. On with the tiger taming next week.

Glenn rushed up out of the line on his own far too many times and put alot of pressure on his outside defenders. If he keeps doing that, then their defence will be punished against the better teams.
I thought the Bronx were good but should have won by alot more. Blew two try scoring opportunities within 10 of the line in the first half and took the foot off the gas in the second. The lack of metres from the forwards in the second half will be a concern to Griffin considering they virtually did no defence in the first half.
Anderson needs to be dropped. Once he came on, the Dragons got right on top early in the second half. I'm not sure switching Teo and Gillett around worked TBH. I can't really see the benefit of Gillett trying to put shots on fairly fresh big forwards. He didn't have as great an impact.

Hate to agree with SR, but I also think Teo starting and Gillet impact off the bench works better
