Round 6 v Knights

Lomax knocked the ball backwards. Sua took possession in an onside position (despite being in front initially). Pretty obvious ruling.
You will see Annesley having a different view tomorrow - it's a similar rule for a player in front of the play the ball who then joins in the play.

1. There was no offside by Sua? Lomax jumped and slapped the ball slightly backwards and to west side. The touch judge immediately signalled knock back by Lomax. Sua came slightly to the front of Lomax to reach back behind him and catch the ball. The commentators blew up over nothing. No one was ‘offside’. Simple short kickoff was diffused.

2. Lomax was easily outplayed by Best. Unfortunately, Zac is well behind the top centres.
He lives off being a goal kicker. He is a reasonable to good goal kicker only. He missed his last 3 conversions and the last two were total shanks.
Jumping on Tyson was a shocker. He could have injured Tyson Frizzell or had his head punched in but luckily Frizzell had the presence of mind to not smash him when he threw Lomax to the ground.Stupidity and the arrogance of a basically unremarkable player.

I hope Lomax will pull his head in and become a great centre which he can become.

Swap Frizz with JWH and see what happens.

Seriously though, time to bring the young guys in for Anzac Day.
Sloan and Sullivan into the 17.
Nothing to lose and young spark might just be enough to upset the Chooks.
Momentum is a big thing and an ugly win can get a season going.
Couldnt agree more EHD....as I posted earlier Amone wasnt on the field for long but just long enough to add a spark and to keep the Knights guessing at the vital time in the game

Agree rasaint , Lomax needs to pull his head in and realize that he needs to show some respect to the opposition players .

We all know that Frizzell was one of our own for many a year who always gave his best , so there is no need for Zac to behave as a young up-start .

It seems to me that onlookers are more worried about this than Frizzell or Lomax.

Just got back from the gong.
Feels great to win .
We bombed a few tries and Lomax missed goals didn't cost us.
Moose,Suli,Hunt,Faegai and Mbye was very good except for one under the high ball.
The knights offloaded to many, we could of closed down for 2nd half tries.
But we looked ok in tbe 2nd half when we through it around.
Moose and Sims made breaks where we needed someone to back up
When do saints ever give us a easy 80?
But The W is all the counts today.

Yes, the commentary was crap, as usual, especially when they kept going on about Newc not being ready for McCullough's dart out of dummy half to score, going on like he does it every week. Everyone at the ground, everyone watching was surprised - it's McCullough ffs. The only thing about him that surprises me is that he doesn't nod off during the game.
We did our best to lose that but it took a quite determined effort from Cummins to get us over the line. I hope you all enjoyed that, you're not likely to see it again.
Lomax is really starting to annoy me, what the hell was he thinking jumping on Frizell and why does he keep giving Rava a mouthful all the time. I think their relationship is out of sorts and it's affecting Rava's game. Drop Lomax for Feagai when Ramsey or Feagai2 get fit. Matt F had another outstanding game.
Sims is done. Why didn't he pass to Feagai when he made the break, idiot, try gone begging and he's missing too many tackles (everyone is - 50 missed and 31 ineffective - that will lose you most games).

All first half I was yelling go left to Suli and MF1 but we kept going right, Hook must've made the same suggestion at ht because we went left and it was beautiful to watch.
Good to get a win but jayzuz our mob are a pretty dumb bunch and with no creativity or speed - if only we had some gifted young guns we could call on.
