Ivan looked wasted at the presser.

He got angry at one point. He rarely gets angry.

So frustrated…
I haven’t watched the presser and frankly don’t want to or need too.

I don’t understand the sense of entitlement, there was always going to be a season where the results would not be what we wanted and that moment is now.

I suggested at the start of this season I thought we would be in need of a rebuild, for the most part I was ridiculed

Im disappointed our dynasty is over but accepting of the fact it was always going to come to an end eventually.

Ivan and Matt Cameron just need to go forward and reinvent our roster.

Time to move on from Leota, Sorensen, Garner, Einsunhuth, etc etc..

There is not winning the comp and there is looking good to win the spoon.

Having it end in Prelim or something is an appropriate way to go out. I think all fans would be fine with that
Honestly our so called fans in here have embarrassed themselves.

It is really sad.

The problem is the missing of to many pre seasons which is the catalyst of the clubs success, also some of the older player have lost a yard of fitness or speed Sorronsen on an edge isn't viable anymore. The defence we look slow make bad decisions and get dominated not really aggressive as we have been either

I will always look for positives I was there for the WHOLE game when Manly beat us 70/7 in I think 1973. Dave Irvine scored a great try for Penrith who lost it when Dennis Tutty got injured, Those of us who supported and went to home AND away games in the early years really appreciate the good times. Im sure others do too. Its not about what has happened its how you RESPOND to it that matters!!!!!!!!

I think it’s ok to get a few things off people’s chests.

It’s the Dolphins, even we managed to beat them.

I’m thinking the planning for this transitional phase was a bit screwed up. You let players go you should kept and kept players you should have let go. I’m not saying it’s easy, but Ivan and Co got their sums wrong. Made a dogs breakfast of it after 5 years. That’s not a bad strike rate.

Your edges and backline were bent badly, turnstile.

But the season can’t be lost on pride.

The axe must swing.

If he can pull you out this wreckage, it could be Ivans finest hour.

I could entertain 2005 - 2018
We have enjoyed the greatest achievement of the NRL era, five consecutive grand final appearances, four consecutive victories and when I read what I read tonight around the personal criticism of even our most outstanding players I feel embarrassed.

I thought Dylan just back from a significant injury was outstanding, yes rather than putting in the kick he should have passed on the outside but it wouldn’t have made a difference in the end. Some on here have sought to criticise Dylan but correct me if I wrong but he was involved in a tackle on the other side of the field only to turn up and attempt to bundle Averillo into to touch.

I’m a fan of 55 years, I don’t need a preliminary final to some how think that’s a better way of going out.

Real fans accept the good with the not so good.

We have enjoyed something no other team or teams fans will ever experience and yet you and others on here are more than comfortable on here to now put shit on what is unfolding in 2025.

Can't believe anyone is going in on Alamoti. He was our only semi decent outside back tonight. Sin bin was his only blemish but that's just a penalty if the officiating is anywhere approaching sane. He's not slow either.

As with Nathan, he's the least of our problems.

Dylan took the wrong option many times, not just 1 or 2, but of course we remember the key moments the most. He tried to ball play too much and he is a very poor ball player.

Listen, he can make 300 metres, but if he butchers 2 tries and throws passes that lead to errors and loss of field position, then what good are those metres?

My point being - he should stick to what he is good at. He is an excellent defensive fullback who is a huge worker. But he isn't a ball players arsehole - and that's OKAY unless he tries to be a ball player when he really isn't and it ends up costing us. I am not sure if that is on him, or if that is on Ivan.

He isn't physically slow. But he has so many mental lapses. If it's not poor defensive reads, it's stupid passes/off loads but more often than not absolutely brain-dead penalties.

You are probably right though, he was our best outside back - because the others were WORSE.
