Ooo. Fuimaono and Edwards in NSW Cup.

Looks like Aekins to fullback and DWZ to centre. Interesting. Expected Ivan to be much more conservative than that. I like it.

Panthers coach Ivan Cleary has named his squad to face South Sydney Rabbitohs at Panthers Stadium on Friday.

With Dean Whare sidelined with a hamstring injury, Dallin Watene-Zelezniak shifts to the centres and 21-year-old Caleb Aekins earns his second NRL appearance at fullback.

The only thing I’d change about the side is I’d go with Ellis over Leota otherwise I like this side

I really like that team. Sele for RCG would be my only quibble, but Sele may not have responded to his demotion in the way Ivan wanted.

Just have to hope that Dallin's has good instincts for the kinds of defensive decisions he'll need to make at centre. Reckon he'll go great with the ball in hand.

So f**king happy we didn't run with Fuimaono at centre. The bloke is not an NRL player.

I truly hope DWZ kills it at centre. 3rd position in 7 games though. A bit of stability in a position would help.

Not sure when we will be able to promote players into our top 30 now. With Phil being out the door it probably explains why nothing has happened recently to replace Phillips.

Sele is an interesting one, must be more to it than we have seen.

Also interested to see what side Dallin is on, I remember when he previously played in the centres in first grade he was on the right hand side so hopefully that's the case and Waqa gets to move back over to the left.

Gagai is in doubt to this week. Souths centres could be a good place to hit. They may have a rookie and Kyle Turner on both edges.
Get the ball to Kikau who breaks the line and off loads to Blake for a try.

Either way, Kikau is going to have a terrifying ball runner outside him.

Well, Aekins yo fullback & DWZ to centre is interesting. I would’ve given DWZ more time, but perhaps we need some ball playing at the back to make up for Nathan.

In the context of our season this game is huge..... all the shit that has been going on at the club the last 6 months, finishing with Gus getting the arse...... This is Ivans team 100% as of now..... anything but the best performance this yr is a sign to me that the season is done...... you cant win a comp at the end of April ..but you sure as hell can lose one.
