56 missed tackles and 25 ineffective and we still won. Similar story for 3 weeks now. Are our players lacking strength or is it technique ? Whatever it is we've got a week to fix it or pay the price.
We won yay. I guess it's better than losing, but the way we're playing......only just. Our problems are in the middle of the field in defence and attack. Next week might be a tough watch.
How's Burgess, I thought I saw him on the ground holding his hip, hope he hasn't done something to it or that might be the end of him.

How come it wasn't a penalty try to the Tigers - Lomax tackling the Tigers player in mid air?
How come the refs didn't call the knock on the play before the Tedesco try and the two forward passes for the Tupounuia try?

Your spastics would've lost three tries to one but as usual the refs and the bunker do their best to cheat for them!! It's a miracle the Suali no try at the end got disallowed!

Can't wait to read your posts on here when we're playing finals and your lot are doing mad Monday you Merkin.

Poor post contact defence but great goal line tackling. Not much offered in attack and Hunt as the only kick option makes him easy prey for a hammering by the better teams. Sullivan added creativity and speed when he came on. Suli does some strong runs but I don’t think I’ve seen him pass to the winger yet. Bit wingers have something to offer if the inside would give them some ball.
Passed to the winger in the Knights game = Try. Passed to the winger in the Charity Shield = Try.

It doesn't matter if it's Fox or Nine, the commentators are basically overpaid and ignorant. I try my best to shut them out, with mixed success. Today they were moaning about WT's not taking a shot at goal, while completing missing the fact that it was a differential penalty. Most fans watching have a better knowledge of the game.
Hastings also pointed for 2 but the ref told him he couldn't, so some players can also be ignorant.

Great mental effort from the side this week

We lack youth, size and mobility in the forwards.

Macca lacks the speed to play at 9 in the NRL of today.

Consequently we are consistently losing the battle of the ruck and find ourselves starting our sets from our 10 metre line.

We need a couple of big athletic edge back rowers who can bust the oppositions defensive line.

Happy we got the 2 points given the fact that we only had 45% of possession.

Wasn't that at the other end? Hastings was lying on the ground 'injured' but jumped up real quick when the penalty was given, he wanted to take the kick.
The incident I was referring happened later in the match. Saints were caught offside because the ball still hadn't come out of the scrum. The Tigers' lock kept the ball under his foot long enough and Saints broke too early. This is technically a scrum penalty and no place kick at goal is allowed. The referee also signalled it as a differential penalty.

Getting better each game at FB. Mbye reminds me of Mick Potter safe as houses, strong defender a little slow but at least you know he’s back there ..
He comes across with every game he is playing as Mr Reliable with an occasional mistake. He lacks the speed of Dufty and Sloan but he will do for the time being once Sloan gets toughened up and learns more in the reserves for at least a few more weeks.
