yes, he is actually right up there with a lot of key indicators. he's only been playing better since that article, too. he's also playing with a busted arse forward pack that's struggling to get over the advantage line.

but no. let's ditch him and watch half the comp throw the bank at him.

I wish our players wouldn't drop the ball so much... We're not getting to our kick 40% of the time... That's just not good enough...

must be Mullens fault... i mean, he touches the ball more than any other player aside from Bedsy, and probably makes amongst the least errors in our team... but i'm sure we can find a way to make it his fault. there must be a stat for it or something.

forget the fact he'd be top 3 in the comp for long kicking... and his left to right passing is the best of any in the game. disregard all of that. lets get rid of him and promote Adrian Davis. surely he'd do a better job.

*shakes head*...

better yet, let's make Boyd 5/8th! he's never played there before to the best of my knowledge... and his play style really doesn't lend itself to 5/8th at all - especially because he hates taking the line on... but hell, surely better than Mullo yeah?

I'm not being a hater but... If he has the best left to right passing in the game, why have we seen it once in the the last 3 games...

Why are his long kicks so good but his short kicking terrible? Probably 3 repeat sets off Mullen's boot a season...

He has an amazing running game but hardly breaks the line anymore...

Why Pers why?

because he's been pinned back on his heels tackling blokes like FuiFui for most of every match. how many tackles do you think we've had in the opposition 20 all year? you could probably count our full sets on the opposition tryline on 1 hand... or close to.

his short kicking is a weakness, but he's improving. I never said he was perfect, he's just not garbage and CERTAINLY not expendable.

While you're on a roll, what do you think about Mullen coming off the bench in Origin?

Is it just me or does Mullen's passing look very awkward this year?

I did my own research and just on stats... Mullen ranks 8th on ARM (All Run Metres). On tackles he rates 9th, hit ups 8th, points 6th- in comparison to all other five eighths in the competition. Believe me, all do "your own f**king research".

P.S f**king awesome stats

They should give the bench spot to Sutton seeing as though, so far this year, he has made 711 metres compared to Mullen's 413.

@ RABK Gidley's a hooker.

@ Jokers Wild...you're juvenile and have added nothing to the argument except for telling me I'm wrong. The stats tell the story ask an NRL coach.

So Gidleys a hooker so you excuse his god awful performances in the halves. Well using your own logic Mullens a 5/8 who's been playing halfback for 4 years. As your argument is based around Mullen been so rubbish for 'so long' you're going against your own logic of judging a player unfairly out of position.

Mullen has been in great form for 7 weeks playing at 5/8 and if you think otherwise you're an idiot.

I don't want to be a jerk but:

The stats tell a story, just not the whole one.

Which NRL coach told YOU that?

I've criticised Gidley just as much. So I don't know what you're on about. This thread stemmed from the game that was played last weekend which did not feature Gidley. Gidley is dangerous at hooker, he has proven that. I don't believe Mullen's dangerous at either halfback or five eighth and certainly not like other five eighths in the comp. What part of that statement don't you all understand.

Just to rehash my point, Mullen is well behind other five eighths. If they chose to not re-sign him, I wouldn't be heartbroken.

I don't need to add much more than what pervy and RABK have already said.

Bennett, the best current NRL coach seems satisfied with his performances so far this year. How bout you ask him how much baring your stats have champ

Very selective stats there.

What has most points got to do with ability when he is not the knights goal kicker and i can think of at least 6 other teams whose goal kicker is the five eighth. Surely you jest to have that as a stat.

Anyway, I did my own research and Mullo is ranked 1st against all other five eights in terms of tries scored .

Your kidding if you think he is average.
