The thing that confuses me with Hook is there is a big possibility Amone will be charged and put in prison yet he gets more game time than Bud. I am not saying Amone should be thrown out of the club but Sullivan should surely get preference when it comes to game time and development in the NRL because he will possibly be our long term half. Amone had that chance and he blew it with his stupid actions in the off season. He did not start well in the NRL anyway. It is not as if Amone's first couple of games were way much better than Sullivan. I thought Sullivan actually started well with a try and a try assist which is more than what Amone has done.

Having Amone as the backup half is ample support to give the kid whilst he awaits his trial. More that hat JDB got during his time awaiting trial. I am so surprised the club has not come down on Hook for putting Amone ahead of Sullivan and if that is not the reason he has not already been punted.

Hook can't control how the players play on field but what he can control is the team list and who's kicking goals.
We've lost 3 or 4 games all on the back of Lomax poor kicking. Hook wouldn't be under so much pressure if we won 3 of those games. Now our season is over because Halligan has convinced Lomax he will be better off in the long term.
Halligan has taken Lomax from a 80% kicker to a 30% kicker using this smaller kicking tee. If Zac can't handle it after 3months of practice your 1 size fits all approach to kicking isn't working. Bulldogs will be happy with their ex player getting them a win by sabotaging our goal kicker.

Interesting article on Fox Sports online site re Hook's poor relationship with Ciraldo from their Penrith days. Makes sense to me given Hook's continual stubborn selection of non-contributing players (Norman, McCullough, Amone, Mbye etc). The article claims that old school, inflexible Hook was jealous of the successful and "new age" up and coming assistant Ciraldo who had better rapport with the team and Hook ignored his advice. Ciraldo then tried on multiple occasions to leave only to be talked out of it by Gould- who in the end sacked Hook anyway.
That says it all doesn’t it, no wonder Sully doesn’t get picked, and Liddle doesn’t get really any field time, bad coaching needs to go now. Oh I forgot sh$t board room.
