Round 9 vs Storm

Nah - I reckon we have to shift Hunt to 9, Bud to 7 and Amone to 6. Ramsey should get another crack at FB, with Mybe dropping to the bench and Bird into the backrow.
Next weekend - Ramsey; Feagai, Suli, Lomax, Rava; Amone, Sullivan; JdB, Bird, Sims, Molo, Hunt, Woods + Mbye, McGuire, Fuimaono, Lawrie.
Wishart looked great out there today. If we thought he wasn't ready - or wasn't good enough - we are kidding ourselves.
Doing evrything you just mentioned, wont make the slightest difference

well we just witnessed a professionally coached side playing great attacking footy compared to a side that is coached to have some sort of power play and no attacking eyes up football, if this isnt a wake up call that the game has changed and our attacking plays which are non existent need to develop with the players in the right position i dont know what is. i dont care if sloan has defensive issues he can work on them in the nrl, not ressies, sullivan at 7 mbye 9 hunt 6 and amone 14 , change it anyway you like but having currently what we have will get us nowhere and im not prepared to accept hoping to make the 8 for the next 2-3 years, if we dont bounce back against the titans having learnt a lesson, then you can write this season off.

No he does not when that decision was made
He was head of recruitment when wishart was coming through and they offered him nothing. He’s been moved to pathways now because he let a lot of good juniors go and ironically now looks after pathways. You reckon he’s not protected?

We might need to rethink the whole Sloan and Amone are our future thing and sign some ready-made stars.
We continue to make the mistake of not recruiting a first grade side but instead put our faith in unproven players or players that are cheap and past it.

Lomax was injured and should not have been selected for this game.

We are still short at least two good props.

Let Bird go and pick up a good five-eighth. Amone, Sloan, and Sullivan can play reserve grade until they are up to first-grade standard. We need to start with a top-grade spine and build the team around that.

I say buy Haas and let go all current first g1651990023648.pngrade props except for the Molos'. Burgess, Woods, Lawrie need to be replaced.

Now that we have decided to let Sims go, we should replace him like for like. No more bagin buys!

Its taken Sully to run then for Amone to come out of his shell ..... Hook does restrict his players from taking chances thats they way I see it .....
I have said before coach orders, the guys aren’t playing what’s in front of them. And I mean the young guys just maybe If they were given a little bit of latitude it could be very different to what we all see at the moment. And as started we need 5 mobile forwards, to compete.

Well we certainly brought those high-flying beggars back to earth with a resounding thump . Less than 50 points plus our boys even got over their much vaunted defence to score a sensational try .

Who in the hell needs Cameron Munster ? 😳

Storm, Panthers then daylight.

Eels are too inconsistent.

The rest are capable of putting solid performances but none have the relentless attack of the top 2 sides...

Panthers are a level below the Storm then there is Parramatta, Cronulla and maybe NQ or an inform Manly who are on the next level below that.

If you had to do a points system

Storm 10
Panthers 9
Parra etc 8.

Teams can deviate 1 to 1.5 point in performance which is why you can get a Parra vs Storm type upset occassionally but if they are play their best, nobody even the Panthers touch them. I am saying this as a Panther Diehard.

I honestly don't think that I will ever witness the Dragons beating the Storm at their home ground or anywhere else for that matter while they have Craig Bellamy as their coach. No matter who they lose (Bromwich Brothers, Kafusi, Brandon Smith, etc.) they will come up with other players who just excel because they "belong" to the Storm and Craig knows best how they should play. When Sims goes down there, he will be loving the wins for a change and Bellamy will set him the "Storm Task" to play Storm footy just like Tyran Wishart who was a nobody a few months ago and he is just able to do his thing and stand out like allof the others in the Storm squad.

The Storm could have 5 or 6 guys out and still beat us easily that's how well drilled they are. They just live and breath winning.

I had a 20 point start in mind watching the game today. It was never nerve-wracking because it was never a question of whether we lose but by how much. Almost made for a positive change until the tries kept flowing.

I was really happy with how our forwards aimed up early. That was about the only joy if you can call it that. The recruits of Sua and Molo have been fantastic acquisitions. Suli excellent, but that should only be the start. Right now, I don't care about the Titans game. I care about the forward thinking nature of our coach and club. 12 months ago I was screaming for Hynes.

I turned the game off part way through. My wife deserves my attention on Mother's Day. Not the likes of Fuimaono, Mbye and Woods who are imposters with hands like feet. I am finding myself very disillusioned with the running of this club, I must say.
