Sounds like a pretty accurate reflection of real life.

thats true (for this season anyway) but in this it's annoying as Hayne, Sandow, Roberts are 3 of parras most dangerous players in the game. Mullaney is a good back up but no where near hayne. Like i'll sim with rookies in the team and sttill hindy would then get injured. no rookies rarely get injured

mind you i think i remember big ant saying if you sim you will get injuries so people will try and play out the seasons so its longevity doesn't expire type thing

I seriously suck at this game. Decided to play Queensland against Broncos U20s (junior Bulldogs according to Voss) and still got smashed.

I think you mean rookie is too easy then amateur is too hard Spring. Im finding the same problem, but I know it's more the way I am playing that is costing myself wins. The game is really much like NRL -Just patience, defense, completions and only chancing when you have a good advantage.

I am starting to really utilise the interchange system now too. If you come out there and smash the opponent for the 1st 20 of the game and interchange 2-3 forwards, you can really start fending and busting up the middle. Then it's nothing too fancy other than a good draw & pass over the line. Takes some discipline, because I just love to think I can play razzle dazzle and who cares if they score 30 points, I'll score 60! -but my only wins have come from keeping them below 10 points and getting 2-3 momentum tries of my own.

Protop:Rookie and amateur are a piece of piss, just hold forward on the right stick rather than trying to time the press and your attack will blow right through them, same for tackling, use your player select button and hold the tackle button.

Protip: when you want to get a roll on attack, make sure you vary your passing game, if you get a decent short break and can get up quickly use your double tap pass to do a flat pass while the defence is resetting to gain a few extra yards up the middle, if the defence is set use a short normal pass, if you get momentum in your attack use a scoot and flat pass, if you want to gain yards from dummy half watch where the second marker stands, if he stands a bit to one side or retreats that way scoot out the other way, use your forwards, go up the middle for a few then go wide on the 4th tackle then either try a short side play on the 5 th or chuck it to your halves to get a good punt or bomb or cross field kick or grubber or chip or field goal away.

Upped it to Legend difficulty, so much funner. Great sense of satisfaction when you get a well executed try, rather than just throw it to a decent player and watch them fend off five on their way to the try line like on the lower difficulties.

I still can't get grubber kicks to work, never fails to hit my opponents legs. I had to get the achievement for scoring a try off the grubber by grubbering ahead after i had made a break and no one was infront of me lol

I had an awesome grubber. Thurston grubber to Tamou crashing over. Looked awesome

Also chip from Thompson for himself to run 40 and score

The only time Ive scored off a grubber was by mistake. Gavin Cooper kicked for himself and scored haha.

I pulled off a couple of chips today while I was doing my Super League career.

I've pulled off plenty of grubbers they've become my go-to play on the fifth tackle inside 15, can't seem to work out the right way to execute the chip kick though. Are you guys just doing them to put the fullback or over the line in structured play?

I use chips whenever I'm inside the opponents 10 metre zone on the last, I also use then every now and then if I notice the opponents fullback is back, or if the defence rushes me.

1. Its a 'kick' not a 'punt' Vossy.

2. WTF is the deal with the 'swoosh' every time you pass it? lol
