The developers have only made AFL titles. The old developers Sidhe were abandoned after Rugby League 3. A shame given it wasn't THAT bad a game given the budget.

It doesn't stack up well against other sports titles (a given when you consider the budget) but it's an enjoyable enough game that takes an arcade style approach to Rugby League.

The only issue for mine was that teams would formate inappropriately. Instead of finding say Yow Yeh on the wing, I'd find Ben Hannant instead or something similar which is unrealistic.

Well, at least they were consistent - how many times did I make a break as Tahu or Grothe, only to be mowed down by Hannant or Rose?

yeah, if i had to give 1 word to Rugby League 3 - it would definitely be "Arcadey". nailed it there, Pete. can be quite fun, but lacks depth.

Is this game good enough for a Friday night piss up session to play with a mate or two over the internet connection?

Talking PC here too.

I know what you mean, the amount of times id find Jamie Soward on the wing in defence... oh wait!

No seriously it wasnt the worst game iv ever played but it was far to inconsistent.

All the League games shit me because the developer be it Sidhe or Big Ant have this strange notion that "harder difficulty? well clearly that means the opposition is harder to tackle and offload more..."

Not sure about online, never been able to connect to a game myself. However it is fun 1v1 local, and much more so 2v2, with four cartons split between you. Single player is terrible. If you can pick it up for 20-30 dollars and play a lot of local, i'd say pick it up, because opinions on this game are pretty polarised.

why bother, just play a decent online game like fifa or madden.

the game is terrible and way overpriced, this belongs in those discount bins at service stations.

EB Games have Rugby League Live for 35 bucks at the moment.

It's good for the novelty value, but f**king hell its hard to attack.

Ithink ive conceded one try in about 9 games but ALWAYS score the winning try in extra time. Can never get a try.

I did thrash the Titans 30 - 6 though.

i have the game difficulty on easy. TBH the Wii version is better gameplay wise, but the PC version is more up to date.

the only reason i find RL3 on wii better is coz of the franchise. if RLL had this option it would be the best RL game brought out imo

Nah not pre owned. It was part of the 50% off deal.

And yeah, it sucks there no franchise mode either.
