Yeah all these articles seem like they are assuming 1+0.5 = 10.

I'm sure it is possible that we could get Green, but these articles are stating facts with no back up info.

I'd say the same, except that that story was on nrl.com which tends to be clear of rumour type stories.

Carlaw Park Trust to buy the Warriors?
Install a board to control them?
Have they proved their ability to run a commercial enterprise successfully?
Guess we may find out.

The old RTS to NZ rugby story's is back doing the rounds...
He's either gone or getting a massive upgrade. Hat tip to his management.

If I was the Warriors I'd be hitting up the NRL in a effort to get them to pay him to keep him in the game. The Warriors brand is pretty much rock bottom.

The timing from his manager is pretty shitty - a story the day before the RL world cup.

Meh.

If RTS is eyeing off the 2019 WC then he needs to be released before 2018, not at the end of it. Zero chance he jumps into the All Blacks after just a single season of Super Rugby. Lol just no.

And yes, SBW was fasttracked, but we're talking about a WC here. No room for experiments.

Yeah, I am sure union would be interested because he's talented - but he doesn't have the skill set SBW did, and doesn't look like a union fullback to me (and some aren't sure he's a league one - for different reasons). I can see that having spent time with the Roosters he'd yearn for a more professional and succesful set up, but that could be available in league anyway - seems more like strategy from management to push up his value?

Wouldn't be a fan of signing Green, surely Hingano is worth investing in over a short term, competent import?

31 years old (2M over 3 years) yeah. im abit dubious about what we would be getting.

Where does Green sit when you compare him to other halves we have imported?

ie John Simon, Nathan Wood, Brett Seymour, Michael Witt, Thomas Leuluai, Nathan Fien, James Maloney, Peter Robson, Kieran Foran?
Who's he above and who's he below?

On the first point, a shit load more than Blair

On the second better than all of them except Maloney

Still I'd prefer they committed to developing Hingano and Lino, Hingano as option A and Lino as cover for 6 and 7

We really do need another half though. If anything happens to Johnson, a hingano/Lino combo isn't good.

At the very least, you need a 4th half on the books for depth.
