It can report all it wants, doesnt change the fact that Fergos manager was in our offices talking about a return.

I hear what you saying BTR. But I don't know...... I get the feeling we would be just a safe port in a storm for him. It's the committment bit that worries me. Why bother with contracts at all. Maybe we should have a pool of 100 players that every team can select from each week to bolster their contracted players. He'd probably love that. If he plays well enough he could get into the Grandfinal no matter who makes it....

But anyway it's not up to me and if we pick him up and he plays in the BWB then I'll chear black white and blue for him. Until then he can go and get efed. He's just another nice fella off the field playing for the efen enemy.

Im backing the rumour. Doesnt mean it will happen though.

As to whether I have an opinion on whether Ferguson should be welcomed back. I do.

He should be. At market value as well. He is a better player than any 3/4 the Sharks have. He's as good a fullback as Gardner. That adds up to enormous depth supplied by one individual.

I dont even believe he said half the things attributed to him. Some, but not all and the hysteria overbit magnified his "sins" anyway.

I cant believe there are people on here implying Gallen wouldnt have him back. ha ha ha

dream about it fellas, he's very happy in canberra, and we're stoked to have him, we'd be mad to let him go before we've had a chance to put him dugan, campese and williams on the same park for extended time

Vidot is probably a better bet, he'd be spewing he's playing QLD cup... that being said it wont be long before Joel Thompson moves to the back row and Vidot can take his rightful place in our backline.

He's a brillant footballer. But that doesn't make him a good fit IMO. My shit box car might enough room in the engine bay for ferrari boxer engine. Unless Im building my car around the motor it aint a good fit. So the next obvious question, asume the rumour is true, is do we build a team round him so to speak?

You'd be mad to let him go. But you will. & will free up a lot of cap space. AT any rate, if he doesnt leave for 2012, it will be his last in Canberra.

As far as I have heard, Ferguson is a Canberra player and is happy here. He has not been linked with a move to Cronulla. Nothing has been reported on it, nothing has been quoted on it. In fact the only thing said regarding Ferguson's Canberra career is:

Ferguson said he had no regrets about the nature of his departure, relishing the new environment in Canberra. ''I look at where I am at the moment and I wouldn't do anything differently,'' said Ferguson, who has spent the past two months setting up a new life with his girlfriend in the nation's capital.

''I love the Raiders. I go to training, come home, clean the house, everything is different now. It is not all about me, it is all about the team. We have all got to be accountable. There's not many people here, everyone knows you. If you mess up, you're going to be in trouble. They will call the club straight away.''
