Rumour: Fathead wants to come back.

I would have him back at a cheaper price of course. Why wouldn't you?

It's true that the club was contacted about the possibility. It hasn't gone any further though.

f**k you wouldn't want Fat Head in the trenches with you would you.

The first sign of a tough fight and he wants to pack his bag and run.

The guy has zero class and zero loyalty.

About as mentally weak as they come.

Not a trait you want in your footy team.

Some of you blokes are as emotional as COATs.

He is a great player.

He is young and getting better.

He f**ked up in how he left, BUT he never phoned it in while playing his last few games.

I dont think the words in the media were his or were taken out of context.

He left for more money and lets face it, Canberra on paper were going to dominate this year you would have thought. He was going to play in a backline that got the ball and was tempted to move to a team.

He made a mistake in doing that.

If we got him back at market value then well done to the Sharks and Flanno.

Public Apologies are humiliating and not needed, he is a young bloke.

The attitude of forgive and forget is probably why this club has not won a farkin thing in over four decades.

Its the attitude of players like fathead - his attitude to his teamates and coach and club is one of the reasons why the cabinet is empty.

Stuff him. The bloke from the cowboys was going alright before injury. Fathead can stay right where he is as far as I am concerned.

Yeah probably JC. But that's not the only reason I'm saying no. So he goes to Canberra to chase success, doesn't have any and now wants to come back. What's that say about his COMMITTMENT?? If he leaves the Mucas and comes back after 12 months that says more to me than anything else. Why wouldnt he do that again? Footy is his job (like all of us have). Ask youself, how would you take to a colleague doing the same thing at your workplace?

Leaving out the fact about him choosing to go elsewhere all together.

My problem with him, is he makes a load of mistakes all the time.

No use him doing one good thing in a match, than him making 4 mistakes which he does regularly.

Considering a team only gets approx. 35 possessions a match, and for most matches you need to have a completion rate of 75% at least to be competitive, that means you cant really afford to be making more than 8-9 mistakes a match.

He will likely make between 1/2 of them and a 1/3rd of them himself!

So whilst he might be good and talented, I am not 100% sure I want him back.

Fergos mistakes generally happen on 5th tackle trying to score or create something.

Nothing wrong with that when it comes off as much as it does.

I'd take him but I wouldn't chase him.

If the cost-benefit is right then why not?

FTR... I don't accept that his public reasons for leaving mirrored his private reasons for leaving, either.

Still and all, doesn't excuse how he handled himself. But then look at who he has aligned himself with from a management perspective?

So I'd shrug at it... if he was available and at the right price, why not? Just my opinion.

He's in the top 5 wingers in the game. He can control the destiny of a match. He is bigger & faster than when he was with us.
Attitude smattitude. The guy gives 100% & plays well every game, if not great.
My problem with him his is that he will be an origin winger for years to come & we will be without him for many games.

Origin is all attitude BTR. He aint one yet and i'm not convinced he will be TBH! Other wingers are doing what he pioneered (abit of a long bow I know but..) such as those incredible contortionist tries. He needs to be thinking what can I do as a member of this team to achieve success for all of us and fashion the contract and committment around that. There's a bit too much of I deserve success and damn it i'm going to take my wares to a place where they can give me my just deserts (spellin grammar?). Too much "me" in that.

Anyway is anyone else chasing him? I didnt exactly see a massive push to have him in the SOO side for game 2. Maybe the players don't like him.

Not a matter of if but when. His attitude to get success is exactly what Origin is about. He never gives up.

More players like that & maybe our club would not be in the position it is.?

We weren't chasing him.

If Canberra were near top of the ladder , he would be leading try scorer by a mile. He would have been straight in. The players do like him. No more or no less than other players. Hes a good fella.
