SHOPPING RAIDERS: OVERSEAS DUO BACK IN 2007

RAIDERS are retaining their two quota players — Aussie Michael Basan and Kiwi Khamal Ganley — for next year.
But Australian forward Matt Blake has been shown the door at Craven Park after 27 appearances last season.
Barrow RL officials, who are pressing the RFL to increase the club’s quota ration, are confident of signing another Aussie forward.
They are meeting the 23-year-old Penrith Panthers’ player, who holds a British passport, next week, while Basan and Ganley are expected to re-sign on Monday.
Raiders coach Paul Crarey said he was delighted that the two quota players were staying on.
Basan, a 21-year-old halfback from Parramatta Eels, scored 11 tries in 19 appearances while fullback Ganley, a supply teacher, was a sensation with 10 tries in as many games since his move from Workington.
