His apprenticeship in the NSW Cup may be a reason why he is performing so well. It may start a trend of giving players a good grounding in the NSW Cup prior to their introduction into the NRL.

Simona was playing centre (Lawrence on the wing) when he made that break that led to his kick & try......nice bit of work, showed incredible acceleration & nice fend

Looking at the NSW Cup results today, Ben M-M played, Potter is happy to send one of the 1st grade reserves back to the NSW Cup which is a good thing. Don't know who else played but it helps when the next game is tomorrow week. Change in policy? I hope so and believe that the Tigers are going to be stronger for the things that Potter is doing.

I have to agree with your comment about Pooter. BMM playing is also a good idea. I enjoyed the story in one of the Sunday papers about Potter advising Marshall to go if he can get a better offer.

Potter - old school, using reserve grade (NSW Cup) as the spring board rather than U20's.

Maybe Potter watched video of games last year featuring Groat and thought 'not under my watch' ?

Clever, smart, switched on. Most likely mean that Lote finishes 2013 and perhaps his career there?

Next time we hear of or see 'the next big thing' playing in U20's we might have to get to Belmore Oval, Henson Park, North Sydney Oval or Leichhardt Oval to see them play before they get the 1st grade call up.

That's a great point magpie guy. They both have a left hand carry and a right arm fend.

Lawrence getting outsprinted by mannering last game was a real concern. He looks very slow when you watch him live as well.

Tedesco hasn't set the world on fire at fullback this season but I'm confident he's carried injuries into the games he's played and this combined with the fact he's coming off a knee reco gives him more time to prove himself.

If not for the above situation I'd like to see Simona play fullback. He runs the ball straight and hard and has a fair passing game by the looks of him.

Right centre might be a kid thar has just come back from a shoulder injury , played Aussie school boys with teddy & Nofo played last week with wests and was solid enough to be called straight back to Vb cup to be 18th man on Sunday. 6 foot 3 and a 100kgs heard Mick Lubinskas say he was built like a Brick Sh--house maybe sombody to watch for the rest of the year.

We also have the issue that Pat Richards is a left side winger aswell. Becoming very cluttered around our backs...need to invest in back row

I agree with somewhat of a trend developing here that Richards to fullback next year and push Tedesco back to State Cup and reserve for backline injuries. Give Tedesco another year to develop further.

If anyone is going to replace Tedesco at fullback it will be Richards. I dont think Simona has ever played fullback and if I am right in saying that then there is no way I would play him out of position. That is something Sheens would do.
