Isn't Michael Jennings a specialist left centre?

Yes he is.

I hope we don't end up with Jennings. He is way to expensive for what he delivers week in week out. There is a reason Jennings has been on the nose at the Rorters for a while now. Laziness. He probably represents the least value for money of all the outside backs musical chairs we are witnessing. And of course he will probably be the one we end up with.

Even if the Rorters end up paying partially for the first year, we will be stuck with a heftily priced lazy outside back for the rest, who will probably be missing during representative periods giving us even less value.

For mine Copley is the standout value for money bar what the Broncos got Roberts for.

Copley can play and if he were to stay fit, would be a damn fine first grade outside back who would never break the bank.

Yep....

Which is a good reason why it may not be him

I hope you're right Stagger. I would be inclined to offer one of the Penrith young guns an offer to good to refuse, which would still probably less then we were/are off most of these established first graders.

Or sniff around someone like Mansour, there were rumors at one stage that the Panthers were willing to let him go. I would see if that were a possibility.

where is this copley 2nd coming of jesus expectation coming from? he has a potential, he's a damaging runner, but that's it.....he's injury riddled, a poor defender and is the white version of many past bronco fumble ball wingers.

he's morgan with a bit of muscle. we need much more than that.

Here's a question...

How vital is a 2 to 5 to win a comp? .... It didn't quite bother the Cowboys with a mediocre 4 to wn a comp... In fact I don't think Winterstein, Feldt, Linnet and O'Neill are anywhere near rep standard..

That's why Copley is the best value not Jennings.

Other clubs can get away with having average players but we have to have superstars in every position in the top 25 for us to have any chance according to some fans.

All depends on structure too. Semi is fairly important to our finals chamces because of our structure (2015 version) and because of how good he is.

Having the best spine and middle forwards won them the comp.

Not essential but if a player in that position becomes available and we have cash we would be mad to improve our squad from a reserve grader to first grader.

Ok thanks lads...

Our spine and middle forwards aren't no slouches either.. Plus we've got some real quality edge forwards, as it stands right now I think we can give the cows a real run..

Not if we're intending to use that money for recruitment/retention in the spine and pack.

The 3 I named over power us 9 times out of 10. It's a huge gap.

We have potential in the back row to compete better but it's not up the middle. Apples and oranges
