From November 1, rival clubs will be able to negotiate with 11 players.

The mid-season cutoff date for signings was put back by 6 weeks because the season was delayed due to Covid. This allowed the Roosters to sign SBW. With next year's salary cap not yet known and Origin yet to be played, the Nov 1 date for approaching players coming off contract should be put back too, until mid-December at least.

Mansour at centre?! Not on your life. You need some ball handling and good defensive reads. Mansour has played his whole career on the wing, it’s too late to be shifting to centre now.

Burton is the guy for the centres if Naden goes. To’o is another possibility with Staines playing that wing.

Mansours defensive reads have always been pretty good. Reckon he'd go fine in the defensive aspect. His hands might be a different matter though.

It’s still a learning curve late in his career. There’s no chance he’s moving to centre.

To’o has played some centres in juniors, I wouldn’t totally rule him out.

I like that Penrith have said they won’t be releasing Burton for next season, even if he signs somewhere else for 2022.

So hopefully they do the same for Naden, and keep him for next season even if he signs with the Storm for 2022. Keeps continuity for next season, saves us having to go to the player market to recruit another centre, and gives our younger centres another season to develop and be ready to replace Naden in 2022.

I like that Penrith have said they won’t be releasing Burton for next season, even if he signs somewhere else for 2022.

So hopefully they do the same for Naden, and keep him for next season even if he signs with the Storm for 2022. Keeps continuity for next season, saves us having to go to the player market to recruit another centre, and gives our younger centres another season to develop and be ready to replace Naden in 2022.

They have? Where’d they say that? It actually runs counter to things they’ve previously said, Matt Cameron is on record as saying they’ll release players for an opportunity elsewhere.

I don’t see why you’d keep Naden around if he signs with the storm. Better to get another guy in that position ASAP, especially when we’re struggling to find a position for a few players as is.

Surely Burton to centre? His extra size combined with skill would be ideal until he moves to lock or whatever the club is planning.

Depends are we talking for 2021 or 2022 Pre-season won't start until January so that is tight for then. Round 1 2022 you would think Burton in centre

Ivan did let him fill in there against the dogs so it might be what they've spent the year preparing for. He'd have a 12 month pre season behind him come 2021.

yes but not much game time. Damn this no lower grades
