There was no rumour, i know coz i was just spitballing who from the dogs would be a suitable swap incase burton was to leave early, me and betcats started mentioning Wakeham as a young prospect, then most folks here started to think it was a rumour, when it was just chineese whispers of spitballing here on this forum/thread

I was just giving some context to why Wakeham was been mentioned, didnt need a lecture on perfection and the human condition, i wasnt attacking anyone, no do i care that it is/isn't a rumour,

It was inappropriate, you had an opportunity to apologise earlier and you went with “I could have said worse”. I don’t really care anyway.

I have made mistakes, many of them (responding to you is definitely amongst them) but how you react to a mistake is the difference.

None of us are perfect Jane & don't expect others to be. On these forums there are either facts or opinions. Your opinions are yours & you are entitled to them, being a discussion forum they will get questioned, it's how it is. Back them up with reasoned discussion & everything is good.

When facts are mentioned & you or anyone else gets called out on making a mistake it's to keep the facts facts. It's not personal. All you need to do is ignore the correction or reply with something like "Ok, Thanks" The constant claims of vilification are getting stupid & imo completely self inflicted. It's getting to the stage where it is ruining threads.

I did laugh at the "swallowed" comment. Spat a bit of coffee on the keyboard. I didn't see that coming. (pardon the pun)

And remember kids, No babies in the bum.

I always have Jane, since the day I joined 8 years ago.
So Yes, I will continue to agree / disagree with people and be able to rationally explain why either way, without name calling or petty insults.

Some will stay for less and some won’t, we’ve had guys stay for less. We’ve got a team full of stars and you’re saying Leniu is must keep at any cost I find that really silly, “you can’t keep them all” isn’t just some cliche, you literally cannot keep them all due to a salary cap, I honestly don’t think some actually give consideration to that everyone’s heard it and said it but do you really get it? Forgive me for being condescending but blanket statements like you made make me wonder. Whether we are matching the offer or not we should have a price that we can pay for leniu and we should not go over it by much at all. Blowing out our cap over a twenty year old in the position we are in now we be the worst thing we could do. That’s an emotional reaction it’s not logical at all.

I never said he was a must keep *at any cost*, I said it hasn’t been a good off season if we lose him. Those aren’t necessarily the same thing. It’s just a value judgement of how the off season would’ve gone.

Tom Flegler is a good comparision about the same age. Experience got $800k

Tetevano is on $350k. Slot Leinu somewhere in the middle probably seems fair for 2023 or so that we are talking

There’s no way Flegler is on 800k, he signed last year and the Bronocs at the time had several other players on big money. Bird, Boyd, Milford, TPJ, Fafita etc
