I hope they don't, but they could let Tetevano go and play Capewell or Martin in the middle. May will be default back row off the bench and Burton could be the same.

Martin is a gun middle. I am waiting for that too happen

Perplexed how you can call him a gun middle when he’s only ever played 4 games at lock in FG.

It’s also unlikely we retain Capewell, which would mean Martin having to go back to second row after one year. You’ve said yourself in the past our second row stocks are thin.

Moving to the UK would be hugely expensive for Tetevano, then you have high tax rate for someone earning that much and there’s also the Covid drama. 425k would probably keep him here past 2021.

Reading between the lines of what Blade said yesterday I think Tetevanos money will be used to give some players upgrades in 2021, if we hang on to Tetevano I dont think we have the money to upgrade him or the need.

If we lose tetevano or leniu for 2021 and dont bring in another prop we are going to have to many edge forwards and not enough middle forwards so there is a fair chance one of our edge forwards gets shifted in that case.

I'd hazard a guess that he's not just basing his opinion on FG games only, and instead using his form in the lower grades as well...

Of course, but if we let Crichton walk because of exorbitant demands then we can keep him or sign another decent middle.

Capewell just made origin, his price is going to go up. We’re unlikely to keep him past 2021.

A lot can change in 12 months though. We have Lindsay Smith coming through who is a middle forward and time to sign more guys if needed. If losing tetevano means keeping Critta and Leniu I will pack his bags myself and I really rate him. Any forward pack with Yeo, Fish, Kiks capewell and Leniu is going to be top 3 next season. Injuries can undo that no doubt but that can happen to any club.

We’ve all watched enough footy to know that guys that kill it in lower grades can struggle in FG. Martin is a very good footy player, but he’s easily played his best footy at second row. He’s also quite light for a prop.

Is there a limit to what you’d give Crichton?

It’s not so much about Tetevano as it is about having a good prop rotation. With Eisenhuth as our 4th prop, it’s much weaker than this season. The middle is where we dominated other teams.

I understand that, but to base an opinion on FG games only is a little disingenuous because of his limited time there. To say he CAN'T play there because he hasn't played in that position enough in first grade is a chicken/egg argument. We won't know until it happens - but using his lower grades as something of a measuring stick, we can say, confidently in my opinion, that he'd be at the very least serviceable in that position.

Of course there is a limit but do you really want to be relying on Whare next year? Naden is up in the air, we are much thinner in the backs right now. I think you might not be giving Eisenhuth enough credit. I think he can match what Tetavano did for us on the field in terms of production.

were you there as well, I was there as well, bad day that
So was I. 9th July,1973.

From the kick-off, little long haired Reg Walton made a break, and the crowd anticipation was that we were up for this game. Post game a few days after revealed hat most of the team had a bad dose of the flu.

Strange that there seemed to be a hell of a lot more than 6,750 at Penrith Park on that day.

Now they are thin. In 12 months who knows no lower grades hurt a few guys

Ativalu Lisati is a backrower. Speed like JAC and is SG Ball age but will play Flegg and likely NSW Cup

Hopgood is in Development squad. Played under 20's Origin in 2019

Burns is contracted until 2022. Hard to predict how fast he develops

May played a game this year on the edge

So there are options should we not get a middle and make the move
