It could be spin, but pretty sure Ivan said that the Origin squad members, and other senior players weren't required back until the new year.

Outside the 5 Origin players, I haven't seen Mansour, Whare or Api in any training photos.
I'd say this is the most likely scenario.

Also where was it reported Josh ran crying to the media? More likely they chased him while it was all still very raw after the infamous meeting.

What’s your point mate? Surely you of all people are not in the toys out of the cot brigade? Tell me it’s not true?
Count me in, i didn't see Tamou do this, but he is the captain, and probably had more media experience to know that its not a good look to express how badly you think you've been shafted for the ypunger generation to surpass you, does anyone remember jamie soward getting a tap on the shoulder when Nathan Cleary was coming thru?
I saw an interview recently with him, and he was giving his hingsight, in how he probably shouldn't have blamed the coaching staff on that decision.
Hope we can move past this Sauce is a stand up guy, i just feel the current team has been carrying him a bit.

Btw great to hear another depressing story kilkenny, after another great signing

Well mansour wasn't doing that, i could honestly say Slug might do a bit better
If you watched him closely you know he won't be. He's more of a power back than acceleration/speed guy though not as strong as Mansour. A solid player without errors is the best you could realistically hope for. A like for like for MWZ is hopefully what he will be.

He absolutely has thrown a tantrum cause he get told he will play reserve grade. I’ve got no sympathy for him. Why isn’t he at training? His sensitive ego bigger than the club is it?

Kikau and fish where back there first day mate. Luai and Critta popped up in that video also. Sauce is already back training with cotric we’ve heard but he can’t train with his team mates?

What are we supposed to do with sauce? We should hold back Staines to keep sauce happy? They probably had assure Staines he would have a place next season to get him to extend.

Sauce was given a choice, stay and play reserve grade or leave, he has chosen to leave. Good luck to him. Other than his tantrum I’m not sure what the big deal is.

On Salmon. 15 other clubs had a chance. It still took him 3mths to find a contract and I am guessing on minimum. That does say something. And not suggesting he isnt talented. But he would of been snapped up far quicker if was greater interest.
On Lodge I heard he has signed with our club and will be announced in the new year.

We signed Capewell around this time last year. You could stay 15 other clubs had their chance to pick him up earlier.

Salmon is just depth. If he fires next year we have struck gold.
If he stinks. A 1 year deal is easy to move on.
With no lower grades this year I figure he is just a fill in till the younger ones catch up.

If it was me and I wanted to stay. I am pulling out all stops to get an extension. Use your form to force the clubs hand

Luai and Critter was unexpected. They were due next year and that is when the new deal will be made offical

Looking at Salmons junior record he played for nsw at 16s and 18s. He hasnt kicked on since parra signed him but he’s 21. There are million things that can hold some a young guy like that back besides lack of ability or talent. He is probably taking Dean Blores spot as someone mentioned so if he doesn’t kick on I don’t think it matters very much.

Exactly. He was told he would have a place here on the roster if he wants it. We got guys like Rob Jennings going back early to train with the 20s and a potential superstar in Staines turning down bigger money from the dogs abd waiting for a spot and then there is Sauce talking about having “at least three years left”. It’s better this happened in November than in March for everyone, if he thinks he can get around in the nrl for three more years it was never going to end the way he wanted at Penrith.

I reckon he has 5 more years, just not in 1st grade

I've been sitting on the fence on Mansour - understand he's not happy but we all need to face reality sometimes. In Mansour's case, Staines & To'o are the preferred starters going forward - perhaps recognising we would not be signing Mansour past 2021.

If Mansour has not returned to training, he's missed a trick to change Ivan's mind. Other than injury to others, you don't go into the 17 from on the fringe unless you're training hard under the coaching staff's noses. It might also be indicative that Mansour is resigned to his fate & not motivated to change the club's collective mind.

Brad Arthur comes to mind.
