He can dominate and did in a lot of games this year.

You are normally a good judge of players but I feel you're going off way too early here

Whatever your opinion there is no doubt his form has nose dived when its mattered most. 3 tries against the Roosters masked poor game management. A trend that has continued throughout the finals series and now into the Origin series.

He is definately lacking confidence. Gutho's miss on Capewell was awful but I felt Cleary's effort in D on that same play wasn't his usual standard. 100% not an area I'd expect him to drop in. The best thing about him is his ability to do the 1% plays.

He looks like he needs a rest. This Origin series isn't doing him any favours.

What is with the Cleary hate! Luke Walsh? Are you serious Franklin the most idiotic comment I’ve seen here all season. Cleary has been the best player all season. He didn’t play badly last night, his first half was good but both halves and cook had no answers on the second half. The whole spine in fact made unforced errors and really didn’t stand and come up with some big plays in the second half.

I am more than happy to be paying Nathan whatever he wants.

Freddys team was an issue. Crichton should’ve started he was the form back rower to finish the comp, frizzel did nothing like he has been doing all year. Jake Turbo didn’t have a great year either so two of our starting forwards were down on form. Two centres out of position hurt us obviously with the two tries conceded. Our tactics in the second half when they scored the two tries and were dominating field position, that’s where Cleary and Leary let us down, they just stick to the game plan for to long and couldn’t get us into good field position. As soon as we did get there we looked dangerous again. That young Coates should’ve been tested a lot more, he’s error prone in the nrl he should’ve been fielding kicks all night and being hammered by the kick chase.

It’s not like we dominated field position and momentum and our halves didn’t capitalise, we got dominated, our halves were given very little to work with. Even up 10 nil qld had dominated the possession.

Gutho is a gun fullback and would of been fine filling in for Teddy had it been needed, he isn’t a Tom turbo or wighton type player that can be put in the centres and expected to make an impact in an origin game imo. Lomax had a great year for an average side I would’ve picked him given he plays right centre.

Two losses has really rattled some of you. Cleary has stood up under pressure many times in his career already, clutch field goals, clutch sideline conversions. He is yet to do it in the origin scene but he will.

He's an Origin player. At club level he's invisible.

That QLD jersey makes him lift... And it did the same to Capewell. Perhaps he would have been better in our centres than May when Ivan lost faith in Naden.
