Wouldn't mind Richie Kennar. Possibly with our NYC outside back signing we're at the limit of young outside backs with limited NRL experience.

The old inside centre, like the five-eighth, played at a time when it was easy to create space on a long open side. So they had more space to work in. Modern edge forwards have far less room to work in than the inside centre of yore.


But if you only started following Rugby League in the nineties (as you have told us on a number of occasions) how would you know anything about inside centres and long open sides?

I watched plenty of old video. I also played in the early nineties when volunteer coaches were all silly old merkins like yourself who taught us the game how they remembered it when they were kids.
