I don't want us training up halves for other teams f**k that. We have Soward for 4 years. Coote off contract end of next year. Walsh 12 months later. That will give 2 years to try and get Evans or Scarlett into 1st grade and up to standard.

Or we add Carney and are training halves for other sides. Unless we only do the academy for u16's and younger

The academy is a great idea but we always seem to be holding them back cause there not ready and we end up losing them. Give them a go so they get some experience, what have we got to lose. 6 rounds are gone and we are out of final contention already. Does ivan and gus think the fans want to see the same old shit every week while we cling on to hope that 2015 will be our year. Sometimes u have to take a few chances on the young talent that is available !

Yep. The 2015 timeline given is so Gus can buy us a premiership. There is no reason for several players to not be in the team by now

Because Gus thinks he's doctor f**king Phil and needs to micro-manage players delicate confidence levels. Apparently it has been the norm in the NRL to shatter many a players confidence by debuting them too soon and many potential supserstars have been lost to the game in this fashion. Gus is setting that shit to rights. First on the list, no away game debutants. Players must debut at home or the lasting effects on mental health could become crippling to their career.

My take on what's happening given we're clearly re-signing youngsters, while at the same time bringing in proven players and not giving those youngsters a chance.

Gould wants us to have a successful team before we bring young guys in so as to not screw them up. Not that I like it given we are screwed at the moment but you take a team half as good as Melbourne and shove a young guy with some talent in there and they are competant within a season. You throw DWZ into our team and he'll take 2/3 years to really get going.

Regardless we need changes now or 2015 will quickly becmoe 2017.

Agree Daniel Foster looked the goods in the Tonga game, if he can play well against those monsters surely he should be nearly right for a run in first grade. He defended very well against big men also.
