Can anyone seriously see Mossop fighting his way into this team ?

Yes after a few nsw cup games , you would think he is a better player then gower/ allgood. Would be surprising if he wasn't, considering the effort we took to recruit him.

Tepai is a second rower.Watching him an Pauli Pauli in under 20's Tepai looked a better player to me. His defense is rock solid. He can offload and runs hard. Pauli does have more size thou and seemed to turn it on when wanted while Tepai done the hard yards all game. Id say Pauli is suited to bench/impact while Tepai looks more an 80min player.

I read a bit on Mossop. The dogs even tried to sign him 3 yrs ago.And to make Englands side is decent considering there forward pack that has the burgess boys--Graheme etc. You would think Gower-Allgood-MoiMoi wouldn't make there squad so you would think he should be a class above them.I heard he is similar to Gareth Ellis-Who I thought was a great player

From the side that ran out last night I can see Lussick & Mossop coming in for Allgood & Gower.

Fui will have a fight on his hands to keep out Peni or Junior.

Then there's the battle between Pauli & Kelepi for a spot on the bench.

Bloody great depth!

Moera could play centre or back row.

He is better than solid in defence. At age level he's actually a weapon in defence as well as having line breaking ability and ball playing skills.

No guarantee he brings the same level of domination to nrl level but I reckon he could play next week and perform.

What areas do you want to buy? Are you happy with our 1,6,7,9?
Are you happy with our centres? Hollywood this is a very good team. All it needs is time too ferment like a fine wine.

I don't see too many bad areas other than players not at there peak. Maybe Sio spot but he is ok. We buy than be prepared too loose guys like Kelepi.

Who in the team is at there peak? Id say Hayne-Sandow -Mannah-Tonga-Peats

Norman will slowly improve as will Hoppa.Who I don't think BA is using in attack yet till he is fit.
Lussick would be close but not at peak. But guys like Semi-Jnr Paulo-PauliPauli-Mau-Edwards-Joe Paulo( changing his game)-Terepo-Tanginoa are still learning there game in first grade.By mid year they will be way a lot better and than theres Mossop to come in and LOKO.

I like our spine but wouldn't be against a good 14, even if we're to play 4 forwards on the bench.

Look, I like our team across the park and I understand the salary cap balance and the need to develop and keep juniors but, like I said, the thought of just going "No, we're not gonna buy anyone" gives me a bad feeling.

As solid as we seem to be across the park and despite the fact that we all seem to think we have great depth...Tariq Sims would be a great buy and I wouldn't look past Tim Grant, either, even if it means letting go of one of our kids.

A real good, established player added into the pack somewhere would be a massive boost, even if they were expensive. A good three-quarter would be, too.

If we decide that what is available doesn't fit into our cap space then sure, stick with what we've got, but if we're not even gonna bother looking at what's out there then I think that's stupid.

Imagine Semi rarely getting the ball in space.... Loko is big, fast and strong but rarely sets up his outside man.

Loko is a very good player when fit got however decisions need to be made and with Morgan, Davis and even Folau or Moeroa in the lower grades if he was to be let go - he will want and get big coin - it allows us to strengthen other areas. His fitness does not warrant him being a priority at this stage. He has missed almost three seasons since his debut.

Loko's a winger.

HJ, don't see BA as a coach that will ignore the obvious and not recruit. Think he will look for a couple of players upfront with size to compliment what we have, not disappointed with Gower, knows exactly what to do - Allgood has a question mark going forward with Lussick/ Mossop and the young big forwards looking for a gig

I can see us doing a lot of recruiting next year (for 2016) because we have a lot of guys off contract, including a couple who are on massive overs and might be let go (e.g. Lussick, Hopoate). But our recruiting for 2015 doesn't need to be extensive - the players we are losing (if we do let them go) can all be replaced by guys already in the squad.

I'd be looking at the possibility of letting Sandow go at the end of next year and replacing him with someone more consistent. I like most of the things he's done in the last two games, but I'm still not convinced long-term. Also, I wouldn't be letting Hoppoate go, even if he is on 'overs'. Tonga won't last forever, and it's important to have at least one very classy centre in your side.

Looks like a complete footballer at this stage and would make the jump to the NSW Cup easily in my opinion. I don't think it will hurt him by staying with this NYC roster for the majority of 2014 as they are building very nicely.

Plus he doesn't turn 19 until after the season is over.
